Three New Crafted Defenses May Be Coming to Clash of Clans in August 2026
A new set of Crafted Defenses appears to be heading to Clash of Clans with the start of August 2026. According to the information currently circulating, Season 3 is expected to end on July 31, with Season 4 beginning on August 1.
The next season may introduce three temporary defensive buildings: the Hot Candle, Hero Hunter, and Cake-a-Pult. Each one seems designed to punish a different kind of attack, which could make base building a little more interesting during the anniversary season.
These details may still change before the season officially begins, so players should treat the early statistics and descriptions as previews rather than final confirmation.
Hot Candle
The Hot Candle looks like a defensive tower with a large burning candle placed on top. It is expected to attack several targets at once, making it potentially useful against armies that rely on groups of troops.
What makes this defense unusual is that its targeting power may gradually weaken the longer the attack continues. In other words, the Hot Candle could be very dangerous during the opening stage of a battle but less effective near the end.
The image suggests a maximum level with approximately 6,000 hit points, 250 damage per second, and an active duration of around 132 seconds. Those numbers could make it a strong early defensive option, especially against clustered troops entering from one side.
Players may want to place it near areas where attackers usually deploy large groups, although hiding it too deep inside the base could waste its strongest period.
Hero Hunter
The Hero Hunter appears to be built specifically to deal with attacking Heroes. That alone could make it one of the more annoying temporary defenses for players who depend heavily on a Queen Charge, Hero Dive, or early Royal Champion push.
Based on the available information, it automatically focuses on enemy Heroes and applies a poison effect to its targets. The listed statistics show around 6,000 hit points, 385 damage per second, and a maximum Poison Spell level of 12.
That combination sounds fairly threatening. A Hero caught under the Hero Hunter’s fire could lose health quickly while also being slowed or weakened by poison.
Still, its real strength will probably depend on its range, attack speed, and how easily attackers can remove it with spells or long-range units. If it can be reached early, experienced players may simply plan around it. If protected behind walls and heavy defenses, however, it could seriously disrupt Hero-based entries.
Cake-a-Pult
The Cake-a-Pult is easily the strangest of the three. It appears to launch explosive cakes at attacking troops, fitting the usual anniversary theme while still serving as a real defensive threat.
The early statistics suggest about 5,800 hit points, 375 damage per hit, and approximately 950 explosion damage. That explosion could be particularly effective against troops standing close together.
It may work best near the core, where attacking armies often become crowded around the Town Hall, Clan Castle, or major defenses. A well-timed cake explosion could remove weaker support troops or damage an entire group before a Heal Spell is used.
Of course, the defense may be less effective against widely spread armies or units with high health. Its usefulness is likely to depend on placement rather than raw damage alone.
Who Will Be Able to Use These Defenses?
The new Crafted Defenses are expected to be available to players at Town Hall 11 and above. Higher Town Hall levels may receive stronger versions, while lower eligible Town Halls will probably have access to fewer upgrade levels.
Because August is Clash of Clans’ anniversary month, these defenses are likely to be temporary seasonal content rather than permanent additions. Similar event defenses usually encourage players to experiment with new layouts without changing the game forever.
Final Thoughts
The Hot Candle, Hero Hunter, and Cake-a-Pult could make August’s defensive meta feel noticeably different. The Hot Candle may punish grouped troops, the Hero Hunter appears designed to interrupt Hero pushes, and the Cake-a-Pult could deliver heavy splash damage in crowded areas.
Nothing is guaranteed until Supercell publishes the official Season 4 details. Still, these early previews suggest that players may need to adjust both their attack armies and defensive layouts once the new season begins.
