TH13 Farming Base #1: Multi-Compartment Defense Built Around Separated Loot Protection

TH13 Farming Layout #1 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall sitting slightly off center toward the upper side of the defensive core. Looking at the base itself, its farming purpose is more obvious than a simple Town Hall-first design. Storages are distributed through different sections, while major defenses sit between those resource pockets instead of leaving one easy route through everything valuable.

That gives the layout a practical defensive identity: losing one section is acceptable. Losing all of the loot through the same clean path is what the base is trying to prevent.

Separate compartments keep resource losses contained

The strongest feature of Layout #1 is probably the way the inner village is divided.

Gold and Elixir Storages are positioned in separate compartments, with wall lines and defensive buildings between them. A raider who reaches one storage still has to deal with another protected section before threatening the rest.

This matters because storages are not just resource containers. Their high hit points can hold troops in place while X-Bows, Inferno Towers, Scattershots, Archer Towers, and other defenses continue firing.

Even when one storage eventually falls, the delay may help another pocket survive.

The Town Hall supports the resource network

The Town Hall sits inside the stronger inner structure without becoming the only building that matters.

That is useful for farming defense. If every important target were packed around the Town Hall, one successful breakthrough could remove too much defensive and resource value at once. Here, the base spreads that value around several sections.

The result is a defense that can lose ground gradually while still keeping meaningful loot protected elsewhere.

Air and Inferno pressure comes from different zones

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are deliberately separated rather than arranged as one tidy group.

That spacing appears to be an important part of the defensive plan. If one section is compromised, another major threat can remain active from a different angle. It also reduces the chance that several key defenses lose their value during the same short phase of the raid.

Against air-heavy pressure, the distributed Air Defenses can keep different lanes dangerous. Ground-heavy armies face the same broader problem with the separated Infernos: one compartment falling does not automatically make the next one harmless.

The top edge carries the biggest structural risk

The top edge appears to be the most approachable part of Layout #1.

For the defense, the concern is a funnel that becomes too wide and begins pressuring several adjacent compartments together. If too many sections open at once, the base can lose some of the staged protection it was designed to create.

There is a defensive tradeoff, though. A wide formation may also split between neighboring sections. When that happens, troops stop concentrating their damage in one place, cleanup slows down, and surviving defenses gain extra firing time.

So the top side does not necessarily need an immediate stop. It mainly needs to prevent a clean, perfectly coordinated transition into the core.

Why Layout #1 works for Farming

The strongest quality of TH13 Farming Base #1 is its separated loot structure.

The offset Town Hall, compartment-heavy core, distributed storages, separated Infernos, and spread Air Defense coverage all support one clear goal: make collecting most of the resources significantly harder than taking the first storage pocket.
