TH13 Farming Base #11: Layered-Square Defense Built Around Resource Preservation
TH13 Farming Layout #11 uses a layered-square defensive structure with the Town Hall near the center, protected behind the main storage line. Looking at the actual layout, the base is noticeably compact through the middle, but it does not place every valuable building inside one single compartment. Instead, Gold and Elixir Storages, high-damage defenses, and the Town Hall are distributed through several nested sections.
That gives the layout a clear farming purpose: losing one resource pocket should not automatically expose everything behind it.
Storages create an extra defensive layer
The resource buildings around the core do more than hold loot. Because storages have high hit points, they can keep troops occupied while nearby defenses continue applying pressure.
This is particularly useful around the center. A storage may eventually fall, but the time spent destroying it gives Inferno Towers, X-Bows, Scattershots, and surrounding defenses longer firing windows.
More importantly, the storages are separated.
A raid that reaches one valuable section still has to cross another wall line before threatening the next. For farming defense, that staged protection may be more useful than concentrating all resources around one supposedly unbreakable core.
Layered squares slow movement toward the center
The wall structure is one of Layout #11's strongest defensive features.
Several square compartments sit inside one another, creating repeated transitions instead of a single direct route. Even after the first section is breached, another defensive layer remains between the outer army and the most valuable center.
That can create useful time pressure.
Troops may also begin separating as different targets become available. One group can remain on a storage while another moves deeper. From the defender's perspective, that loss of concentration is valuable because smaller troop groups are easier for the remaining defenses to manage.
Air and Inferno coverage stays distributed
The Air Defenses form staggered coverage around the core, rather than protecting only one side. The Inferno Towers also act as separate high-value anchors.
This spacing gives the defense more staying power. If one area is compromised, another section can continue protecting a different part of the village.
It also reduces the risk of too many important defenses being controlled at the same moment. The layout appears designed to maintain pressure through several stages of the raid instead of depending on one short burst around the Town Hall.
The left edge is the main defensive concern
The left edge looks like the most accessible side of Layout #11.
Its real weakness is a disciplined corner funnel that creates a relatively straight route through two wall layers. If that section collapses too cheaply, some of the defensive depth built into the layered-square structure disappears.
For the defense, this side needs to consume something valuable—time, hero health, abilities, or troop strength—before the inner resource compartments come under serious pressure.
Why Layout #11 works for Farming
The strongest quality of TH13 Farming Base #11 is that resource protection matters more than presenting one perfectly centered objective.
The Town Hall sits behind the storage line, valuable resources occupy different compartments, and staggered defensive coverage keeps several sections relevant throughout the raid.
