TH13 Farming Base #3: Multi-Compartment Defense Built Around Staged Loot Protection
TH13 Farming Layout #3 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall protected near the center behind the main storage line. Looking at the actual base, the defensive idea seems to be resource separation rather than simply hiding everything in one oversized core. Gold and Elixir Storages sit across different sections, while strong defenses remain positioned between the routes connecting them.
That makes sense for farming. A raider may reach one valuable pocket, but the layout tries to make every additional storage require more time, movement, and exposure to defensive fire.
The storage line gives the core extra durability
Several high-hitpoint storages surround the deeper defensive area.
That placement is useful because storages can slow troops while Inferno Towers, X-Bows, Scattershots, and other nearby defenses continue applying pressure. A storage may eventually be lost, but the time spent destroying it can help another resource compartment survive.
The Town Hall sits behind this broader storage network rather than functioning as the only important target.
From a defensive point of view, that gives Layout #3 some insurance. One breached compartment does not automatically expose everything valuable in the center.
Multiple compartments keep resource pockets independent
The wall structure divides the village into several medium-sized sections.
This is probably one of the stronger features of the layout. Troops finishing one compartment still have to cross another wall or change direction before reaching the next important area.
Those transitions matter.
A concentrated force can remove buildings quickly. Once different groups begin moving through neighboring compartments, the defense gains time. Spell support becomes less efficient, cleanup becomes slower, and untouched storage pockets remain protected for longer.
For a farming base, that gradual loss of attacking efficiency can be more useful than trying to stop the raid immediately.
Air and Inferno coverage stays staggered
The Air Defenses form staggered coverage around the core, while the Inferno Towers act as separate high-value anchors.
That spacing prevents the defensive network from depending too heavily on one small zone.
If one section starts to collapse, another can remain active around a different storage pocket. Against air-heavy pressure such as Dragons or LavaLoon, this may help preserve meaningful coverage later in the raid.
Queen Charge Hybrid or Yeti/Bowler-style armies create different defensive problems, but the underlying idea is similar: surviving one section should not automatically neutralize the next.
The top edge is the main structural concern
The top edge appears to be the most accessible part of Layout #3.
The main defensive risk is a funnel that becomes too wide. If several neighboring compartments come under pressure together, the staged resource protection can begin breaking down faster than intended.
There is a tradeoff, though. A wide formation is also more likely to split between adjacent sections. When that happens, concentrated damage drops and the remaining defenses get longer firing windows.
So the top side does not necessarily need an instant stop. Its job is to make the opening inefficient enough that the deeper resource network keeps its shape.
Why Layout #3 works for Farming
The strongest quality of TH13 Farming Base #3 is that the resources are protected in separate stages.
Its central Town Hall, distributed storages, multi-compartment walls, staggered Air Defenses, and separated Infernos all support the same defensive goal: make taking most of the available loot much harder than reaching the first storage pocket.
