TH13 Farming Base #6: Layered-Square Defense Built to Protect Loot in Stages

TH13 Farming Layout #6 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the upper side of the core. Looking at the actual base, the most important defensive idea is not simply putting valuable buildings deep inside. The layout divides its storages and major defenses between several layers, making it difficult for one successful breach to expose the entire resource area.

For farming, that is a sensible trade. A determined raider may still reach one storage, but the base tries to make the next valuable pocket cost additional time, troop strength, and wall access.

The layered squares create defensive depth

The wall structure is one of the strongest parts of Layout #6.

Several compartments surround the middle, creating repeated defensive boundaries instead of one large open core. Troops that clear the first section still need to work through another layer before reaching the deeper storages and Town Hall area.

That matters because every transition gives the defense more time.

Even if the attacking army remains healthy, changing targets and crossing between compartments slows the rate at which buildings disappear. For a farming base, preserving the last few storages can be more useful than trying to prevent the first one from falling.

Storages help absorb pressure around the core

The Gold and Elixir Storages are not all placed along the same route.

Their high hit points also make them useful defensive buffers. While troops spend time destroying one, nearby Inferno Towers, X-Bows, Scattershots, and other defenses can continue applying damage.

The Town Hall benefits from this arrangement. Its slightly upper position keeps it inside the protected network without turning the whole base into a single-objective defense.

If one side begins to collapse, valuable resource pockets can still remain protected elsewhere.

Defensive threats are deliberately spread out

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers do not form one tidy central group.

That spacing appears intentional. It makes it harder to suppress several major defensive threats from the same small area. One section may weaken, while another defensive lane continues protecting the opposite side of the village.

Against air-heavy pressure, this staggered coverage helps keep meaningful defensive fire active deeper into the raid. Ground formations face a similar problem: removing one Inferno or opening one compartment does not automatically neutralize every important defense around the core.

The layout is essentially trying to make each defensive layer remain useful on its own.

The left edge is the main structural concern

The left edge looks like the easiest side to shape.

The real weakness is a disciplined corner funnel that produces a relatively straight line through two wall layers. If that route opens too cheaply, the layout loses some of the travel distance and troop redirection that make the layered structure effective.

From a defensive perspective, the left side needs to consume something—time, hero health, abilities, or troop strength—before the deeper resource pockets are threatened.

It does not necessarily need to stop the raid outright. Making the first breakthrough expensive can already improve the chances that other storages survive.

Why Layout #6 works for Farming

The strongest quality of TH13 Farming Base #6 is that every valuable section feels like a separate defensive stage.

Its layered-square walls, distributed storages, offset Town Hall, separated Infernos, and spread anti-air coverage all support the same goal: make each additional storage more expensive to reach than the previous one.
