TH13 Farming Base #14: Layered-Square Defense Built Around Resource Separation
TH13 Farming Layout #14 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the lower side of the core. Looking closely at the actual base, the main defensive idea is fairly easy to spot: valuable resources are not placed along one convenient route. Instead, storages and important defenses are distributed through several layers, so breaking the first section does not automatically expose everything behind it.
That makes this layout particularly suitable for farming. It appears designed to accept limited loot loss while making a full resource sweep considerably harder.
The layered core protects resources in stages
The center is divided into several nested compartments rather than one large box.
This gives the defense depth. If one wall layer is breached, another defensive section remains between the attacking force and the deeper resource area. Storages positioned in different pockets also force troops to spend time moving sideways instead of simply progressing straight through the village.
That extra movement is valuable.
For a farming defense, protecting every storage perfectly is unrealistic. A better result is making each additional resource building require another commitment. Layout #14 appears built around that idea.
Storage placement helps slow the raid
The Gold and Elixir Storages are spread across different parts of the defensive structure.
Because storages have high hit points, they also act as useful buffers. Troops can spend several seconds working through one while nearby Inferno Towers, X-Bows, and other defenses continue applying damage.
The Town Hall sits slightly below the true center, where it benefits from the same layered protection without becoming the only important target.
This means one successful breakthrough should still leave meaningful resource value elsewhere in the base.
Defensive coverage remains active from different directions
The anti-air network is spread across opposite sections, while the Inferno Towers support different routes toward the inner core.
That spacing prevents too much defensive value from depending on one small area.
If one section starts to collapse, another can continue protecting a different storage pocket. The defense therefore works more like a sequence of pressure zones rather than one giant central kill zone.
That is a good fit for farming, where keeping part of the resource network alive can be more useful than concentrating everything around the Town Hall.
The right edge is the structural pressure point
The right edge appears to be the most accessible side of Layout #14.
The main concern is a disciplined corner funnel that creates a cleaner line through two wall layers. If that route opens too cheaply, some of the defensive depth disappears and the central resource area becomes easier to reach.
For the defense, this side needs to cost something—time, hero health, abilities, or troop strength. It does not necessarily need to stop the raid immediately. Even slowing progression here may give the remaining compartments enough time to preserve loot elsewhere.
Why Layout #14 works for Farming
The strongest quality of TH13 Farming Base #14 is the way it separates resources across different paths.
Its layered-square walls, slightly offset Town Hall, distributed storages, divided Inferno coverage, and spread anti-air network all support one clear goal: make one successful entry different from a complete loot sweep.
