TH15 Clan War Base #10: Offset-Ring Defense Built for Three-Star Denial
TH15 Clan War Layout #10 uses an offset-ring structure with the Town Hall separated toward the left side of the main defensive network. Looking closely at the actual base, the defensive idea seems to be less about creating one impossible core and more about forcing the attacking army to deal with several dangerous zones in sequence.
That fits Clan War well. The layout may allow progress in one section, but it tries to make that progress expensive enough that the third star becomes much harder to finish.
The Town Hall is deliberately separated
The Town Hall does not sit directly beside every other major defensive target. Instead, it occupies a protected section toward the lower-left portion of the core, while strong defenses remain active farther inside and across the opposite side.
From a defensive perspective, that separation is valuable.
An attacking army that spends too much strength dealing with the Town Hall may still have to face Infernos, X-Bows, the Eagle Artillery, and other high-damage defenses afterward. The layout is effectively trying to prevent one concentrated push from removing everything important at once.
Even if the Town Hall falls, the base can still defend the third star.
The ring creates awkward troop movement
The inner walls form an irregular ring with several connected lanes. That structure appears designed to influence troop pathing rather than simply slow units with walls.
Heavy ground armies such as Root Riders can break through compartments quickly, so the real defensive goal is to make the front line, heroes, and support troops stop moving together.
One section may continue around the ring while another turns inward.
Once that happens, attacking efficiency drops. Rage, Heal, Freeze, and Overgrowth spells cover fewer troops, while separate defensive pockets get more time to deal damage.
This pathing pressure is probably one of Layout #10’s strongest defensive features.
Infernos and Air Defenses are spread for sustained pressure
The Inferno Towers are separated rather than grouped into one compact spell zone. Air Defenses also appear positioned to cover different crossing lanes.
That spacing means a single control spell is less likely to shut down several major threats at once.
Against Dragons or LavaLoon, the base can keep applying air pressure from different sections. Ground armies face a similar issue: controlling one defensive anchor does not automatically make the next compartment safe.
The defense is designed to remain dangerous throughout the raid, not just during the first clash.
The upper-right side is the main pressure point
The upper-right edge looks like the most vulnerable area in the defensive structure.
This section needs to slow the opening enough for the ring to keep its pathing value. If it collapses too cheaply, attacking troops may gain a much cleaner route through the village.
That makes the upper-right lane an important place for hidden trap pressure and overlapping defenses. Even forcing an early hero ability or delaying troops for several seconds could strengthen the rest of the base considerably.
Why Layout #10 works for Clan War
The strongest defensive concept here is the difference between securing the Town Hall and preserving enough army strength to finish the village.
TH15 Clan War Base #10 is therefore best described as an anti-three-star defense built around objective separation, pathing disruption, distributed defensive anchors, and time pressure.
Its weakness is an early break in the ring that simplifies troop movement. When the structure works as intended, though, attackers can reach the later stages with surviving troops scattered across different compartments, while untouched defenses and the clock continue doing the defensive work.
