Town Hall 18 Farming Layout #7 has a noticeably different shape from the more traditional diamond or box-style farming bases. The walls form what looks like a broken ring around the central area, with several openings and side compartments interrupting what would otherwise be a continuous path. That matters because an attacker can enter the village fairly comfortably, yet keeping the army pointed toward the Town Hall and the most valuable resources is another problem entirely.

The Town Hall sits slightly above the visual center rather than directly in the middle. Around it, the resource buildings are distributed across different sections instead of being lined up behind one wall. Elixir Storages occupy separate points through the inner area, while Gold and Dark Elixir value is spread across other lanes. From a farming perspective, that is useful. A player may reach one valuable compartment without automatically opening the rest of the loot.

The lower-left edge, roughly around seven or eight o’clock, appears to offer the cleanest place to start. There is enough room to remove outside structures and create a controlled entry without immediately fighting through the strongest part of the base. I would be careful about making that opening too wide, though. The broken-ring structure gives troops several places to turn once they cross the first wall.

That is probably where this layout either works well or falls apart.

Imagine a Root Rider push entering from the lower-left. If the attacker clears only the necessary buildings, the main army can be directed toward the center. Clear too much, and part of the force may start travelling around the ring instead. The Queen could continue following outside targets while the heavier troops move toward the Town Hall. For a few moments the attack still looks healthy because everything is destroying buildings. Later, however, the troops may be fighting in completely different sections with no shared spell support.

This is why a controlled entry looks like the biggest threat to the base. Rather than trying to overpower the whole lower-left side, an experienced attacker may remove just enough buildings to cut the ring and force the army inward. Root Riders or another heavy smash composition could be especially effective if the funnel stays narrow. The walls are unlikely to stop those troops for long, so the defense depends more on target selection and pathing than simple wall depth.

Queen Charge Hybrid is another interesting option. A Queen starting on the lower-left side could remove one resource compartment and shut down part of the outer path before the Hybrid troops enter. That would make it harder for Miners and Hog Riders to circle away from the center. The idea sounds clean, but there is a catch. If the Queen keeps walking around the perimeter or spends too much time on high-hitpoint buildings, the main attack may begin late and leave the opposite resource section untouched.

Air attacks have their own version of the same problem. The Air Defenses appear to cover different entry lanes rather than being concentrated around one section. Inferno Towers also sit as separate inner anchors, so an attacker cannot simply neutralize the whole center with one perfectly placed spell.

Dragons may find value from the lower-left after the funnel is prepared, but a wide deployment could actually play into the base’s design. Some Dragons might enter the middle while others follow buildings around the outside. LavaLoon gives the attacker better control over specific defensive targets, although it still needs a clear route from the first Air Defense toward the Town Hall and remaining resource pockets.

The farming purpose of Layout #7 becomes clearer when you stop thinking about the base as a simple “can it be tripled?” test. Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir are not all offered along one comfortable line. A rushed farming army might grab a few collectors, one or two storages, and decent percentage without ever reaching everything valuable. To collect the full amount, the attacker is likely to need better funneling and a more deliberate route through the broken ring.

There is a tradeoff. Once players recognize the lower-left opening, they may learn how to interrupt the ring before troops begin circling. That route is probably the area most worth watching in real defenses. Still, a visible weakness does not automatically ruin the design. If exploiting it requires careful troop placement rather than simple spam, the base can still be useful against ordinary farming attacks.
