Town Hall 18 Farming Layout #14 is built around resource separation rather than one heavily protected storage room. The Town Hall sits slightly above the visual center, while the main Gold and Elixir Storages are divided across several inner compartments. At first glance the village looks fairly compact, but the resource route is actually broken into different stages. An attacker may reach one valuable pocket early without automatically gaining access to everything else.
The four Elixir Storages are especially important to how this layout works. They are not placed side by side in one predictable block. Instead, they occupy different parts of the central structure, with walls and defensive buildings creating interruptions between them. Gold Storages are also spread through the surrounding lanes. That arrangement may force an attacker to change direction more than once if the goal is a complete loot sweep rather than simply taking the Town Hall.
The upper-left edge, around ten or eleven o’clock, looks like the cleanest place to begin. There is enough space there to remove a few exterior buildings and establish a diagonal route toward the first storage compartments. I would still be careful about making the funnel too wide. Clearing everything along that corner could create several attractive targets at once, and troops do not always follow the neat route an attacker imagines during scouting.
For example, a heavy ground group might move directly toward the inner storages while the Queen continues following buildings closer to the outer wall. Neither route is necessarily bad on its own, but separating the army means separating hero support and spell value too. The attack may look perfectly healthy for thirty seconds and then suddenly become awkward when the main force reaches the core without enough support behind it.
That upper-left diagonal is probably the most obvious weakness in the design. Once the first layer is cleared, the storage path can become a natural bridge toward the center. Root Riders or another heavy smash army may be able to exploit that line because walls alone are unlikely to stop a strong TH18 push for very long. The more interesting question is whether the layout can make the army spread before it collects every resource compartment.
A narrow ground entry would worry me more than a wide spam attack. If the attacker keeps the front line, heroes, healers, and support troops moving through the same channel, several storages could fall in sequence. A wider deployment may actually help the defense by pulling troops toward different sides of the diamond and making Rage, Heal, Freeze, or control spells less efficient.
Queen Charge Hybrid is another realistic counter. A Queen beginning on the upper-left side could remove one defensive pocket and take early storage value before Miners and Hog Riders are sent through the opening. That approach gives the attacker more control over the route, but it comes with a familiar problem: time. A slow Queen walk, an unexpected wall choice, or defensive Clan Castle troops could delay the main phase enough that the lower half becomes difficult to finish.
Air armies also have workable options, although the defensive setup does not seem to offer one obvious spell target. The Air Defenses cover different lanes into the village, while the Inferno Towers sit farther apart as separate inner threats. Dragons may find a reasonable entry from the upper-left after the funnel is prepared, but sending them across too much of the edge could cause part of the group to circle outside. LavaLoon gives more control over targeting, though it requires a planned sequence through the inner compartments rather than a simple straight push.
What gives Layout #14 a genuine farming identity is the difference between getting some loot and getting all the loot. A quick attacker may reach one storage, take several collectors, and possibly secure the Town Hall. The remaining resources can still sit in compartments that are no longer convenient for the surviving army to reach.
That is a practical goal for a farming base. No TH18 layout can promise that every storage will survive against a fully prepared army. The more realistic objective is to make a complete resource sweep cost more troops, more spells, and more time than the attacker expected.
