TH18 Farming Base #24: Storage-Led Diamond with an Upper-Left Entry

The first thing that stands out in Town Hall 18 Farming Layout #24 is the concentration of resource buildings near the middle. Four Elixir Storages create a visible cross through the central lanes, while the remaining storages and major defenses sit around them rather than in one easy corner. That gives the base a storage-led diamond shape. An attacker may reach one resource compartment early, but taking everything should require movement through several connected sections.

The Town Hall sits slightly above the true center. It is protected, although not buried so deeply that a determined attacker cannot reach it. This creates a useful farming tradeoff. A raid aimed directly at the Town Hall may miss part of the storage path, while an army that chases every storage could spend too long moving sideways and arrive at the main objective late.

The upper-left edge looks like the most practical entry. There appears to be enough room around ten or eleven o’clock to remove a few outside structures and form a diagonal route toward the core. I would not open the entire side, though. A wide funnel could send the Queen toward the upper buildings while the main group turns into the left storage compartment. Both groups might collect value, but spells and hero support would no longer cover the same push.

That diagonal is also the layout’s clearest weakness. Once the outside buildings are removed, the exposed storage lane may guide troops toward the center. Root Riders or another heavy ground smash army could use it to cross the first walls and pressure several important targets in sequence. The plan still needs discipline. If the front line reaches the middle before healers, heroes, and ranged support catch up, the core could break the attack into smaller pieces.

Queen Charge Hybrid may offer a cleaner solution. A Queen Charge from the upper-left could remove one storage compartment, reduce defensive pressure, and shape the route for Miners and Hog Riders. On paper, that looks controlled. In practice, a slow storage takedown, an awkward wall opening, or defensive Clan Castle troops could delay the charge. The Hybrid phase would then have less time to cross the lower half, where much of the remaining loot appears to sit.

Air attacks deserve consideration too. The Air Defenses seem positioned to cover different entry lanes, and the Inferno Towers are separated enough to act as individual anchors. That makes a one-spell solution unlikely. Dragons could enter from the upper-left after both sides of the funnel are shaped, but a loose deployment might send part of the group around the perimeter. LavaLoon gives more control over targeting, although it would need a clear sequence through the inner defenses and toward the final resource compartments.

What makes this layout believable as a farming base is that the loot path is broken into stages. A rushed raid may grab one or two storages and some collectors without opening the rest of the village. A stronger army can go deeper, but it may have to choose between securing the Town Hall, collecting the remaining storages, and finishing before the timer expires.

The design does not need to stop every attack completely. Protecting part of the loot, or forcing the attacker to spend a full army for it, is already useful. That is often a more realistic goal for a farming base than expecting every storage to survive against a fully prepared TH18 army.
