TH18 Farming Base #26: Layered Storage Defense and a Lower-Right Entry
Town Hall 18 Farming Layout #26 is built around a simple but sensible farming idea: an attacker should not be able to reach every important storage through one short push. The base uses a storage-led diamond, with the Town Hall sitting close to the center behind the main resource line. Some loot may be available early, but taking the entire village should require the army to cross several wall sections and keep its path under control.
The lower-right edge appears to be the easiest place to begin. There is enough open space to remove a few outside buildings and shape a diagonal route toward the middle. That does not make the entry harmless. In fact, it may be the side where a careless attacker creates the biggest pathing problem.
Imagine a Root Rider group entering from roughly four or five o’clock. The front line could move toward the central defenses while the Queen follows a side building closer to three o’clock. Both groups might continue fighting, so the split would not look disastrous straight away. A little later, though, the main army could reach the core without enough hero support, while the Queen spends valuable time clearing the outer lane.
That diagonal route is also the layout’s most believable weakness. Once the lower-right buildings are removed, an exposed storage lane may lead naturally toward the Town Hall area. A narrow, well-planned push could use those storages as stepping stones into the center. A wide deployment is more likely to open two routes at once and spread the army across neighboring compartments.
Queen Charge Hybrid looks like one of the more controlled counters. A Queen starting from the lower-right side could remove one defensive pocket, take early resource value, and reduce the number of targets competing for her path. Miners and Hog Riders could then enter through a cleaner lane. On paper, that is probably the safest plan. In practice, one awkward wall break, a defending Clan Castle pull, or an extra stop on a storage may delay the main phase enough to create cleanup trouble.
Heavy ground smash armies are another realistic threat. Root Riders and similar compositions have the strength to cross the wall network, but raw power does not guarantee a complete loot sweep. The storage compartments can stretch the formation, especially when the front line reaches the middle before the support troops. If spells are used early to repair the funnel, the attacker may have fewer answers for the Town Hall section and the storages behind it.
Air attacks face a different puzzle. The Air Defenses appear to cover crossing lanes rather than protecting only one side, while the Inferno Towers are separated enough to complicate a single-spell plan. Dragons may find a workable diagonal after the lower-right corner is shaped, although a loose line could send several units around the perimeter. LavaLoon offers more control over targeting, but it would need a clear sequence through the inner defenses and toward the remaining resource buildings.
What makes this layout useful for farming is the difference between quick loot and complete loot. A rushed attack may grab one storage and some outside buildings without opening the full resource area. Reaching every storage should take more time, better pathing, and enough surviving force to move through the center.
The base does not need to stop every raid completely to do its job. Protecting part of the available loot—or making the attacker spend a full army to collect it—can still be a useful result. A player who enters without a proper funnel may secure the Town Hall and decent percentage while leaving one or two valuable storages untouched on the opposite side.
