TH8 Farming Base number 8 – Compact Loot-Splitting Defense Analysis
This TH8 farming base is quite compact, but it does not simply pile every valuable building into the middle and hope the walls hold. The layout spreads its important storages across different compartments, with the Town Hall sitting inside the central defensive area. That approach appears aimed at a very practical farming goal: even if someone gets into the base, taking all of the loot should still require a lot of work.
The Elixir Storages are a good example. They sit in different sections rather than sharing one easy compartment, while the Gold Storages are also mixed through the inner layout. An attacker entering from the lower-left side might reach one Elixir Storage fairly early, but that does not open a straight route to the storages on the opposite side. Another wall, another group of defenses, and more troop movement are still required.
I think the wall pattern is probably the most useful part of this base. There are lots of smaller compartments packed closely together. Ground troops can get through the outer layer and still find themselves facing another wall almost immediately. Giants may turn toward a nearby Cannon or Archer Tower, while Goblins and Wizards choose completely different targets. If the funnel is not set up properly, the raid can become disorganized fast.
That matters more in farming than it might sound. Many loot attacks are built around getting in quickly, taking a few storages, and moving on. A base that forces repeated breaches can make that cheap attack much less efficient.
Splash defenses are positioned in useful areas too. Wizard Towers sit close enough to valuable compartments to threaten groups of Goblins, Archers, or supporting Wizards. Mortars cover wider sections from inside the layout. If several low-health troops gather around a storage, they may take heavy damage before they ever reach the next resource pocket.
The storages themselves add another defensive layer. They have plenty of hit points, so troops can spend a surprisingly long time hitting them. While that happens, nearby defenses keep firing. In practice, a storage can act almost like a temporary wall made of hit points.
Air defense also seems reasonably protected. The important anti-air buildings are kept within the wall network instead of being left on the outer edge. Dragons or Balloons should normally have to travel through other structures before removing all of the air coverage, while Archer Towers continue contributing damage from several angles.
The compact design does have a weakness. Once a strong army establishes control of the center, several important buildings are close enough together to fall quickly. A well-planned attack with good spell timing may be able to turn that density against the defender.
For normal TH8 farming, though, the idea is convincing. The base does not need to win every defense to be useful. Its real job is to separate the loot, waste attacking time, force extra wall breaks, and keep enough defenses firing that a quick raid cannot comfortably collect everything. On that front, this layout appears to do its job well.
