## TH9 Farming Base number 8 – Compartment-Based Resource Defense Analysis
This TH9 farming base takes a slightly different approach from the usual perfectly symmetrical layouts. The Town Hall sits a little left of the center, while the important resource buildings are spread across several compartments rather than being packed into one obvious core. For farming, that is probably the most important feature of the design.
Gold and Elixir Storages are distributed across different sections of the village. An attacker who reaches one storage does not automatically gain access to the others, and that separation may help reduce the amount of loot lost during an average raid. The storages themselves also have plenty of hit points, so they effectively become temporary shields for nearby defenses. Troops can spend several seconds attacking a storage while Archer Towers, Cannons, Wizard Towers, or other defenses continue firing.
The compartment structure is where this base appears strongest. There are quite a few individual wall sections, and the routes through them are not completely straightforward. Ground troops that enter from one side may clear a compartment and then have to redirect before reaching the next valuable area. That kind of movement can break up an army, particularly if the attacker has not created a clean funnel.
I also like that the defensive strength is not concentrated in a single tiny spot. Wizard Towers are positioned around different parts of the base, giving the layout useful splash-damage coverage near storage areas. That matters against farming armies containing large groups of Archers, Goblins, Barbarians, or similar low-hitpoint troops. Mortars provide additional pressure from farther inside the village and can punish troops that remain grouped together.
Air protection appears fairly balanced as well. Important anti-air defenses are kept inside the walls rather than being handed to the attacker around the perimeter. Archer Towers also contribute coverage from several directions. It does not make the village immune to air attacks, of course, but an attacker should normally have to work through other structures before removing all of the base's air protection.
Another useful detail is the number of less important buildings positioned around the outside. Army Camps, collectors, Builder Huts, and other structures create extra distance between the deployment area and the defensive core. They may look unimportant, but they can waste valuable seconds and sometimes pull troops sideways instead of letting them move directly toward the center.
The Town Hall placement is interesting too. It is protected, but it is not sitting in a perfectly centralized fortress surrounded by every storage. That appears intentional for a farming design. The main goal here seems to be dividing the attacker's attention and making it difficult to collect all major resources during one smooth push.
There are some weaknesses. The base is fairly compact in certain areas, so a strong, well-planned army may still move through several compartments without losing much momentum. Some outer structures are also relatively easy percentage buildings. I would not describe the layout as impossible to break.
Still, for everyday farming defense, the design makes sense. Its strength comes from **storage separation, multiple compartments, overlapping defensive coverage, and awkward troop movement**. Rather than relying on one heavily protected core, it tries to make every additional storage cost the attacker more time and more troops—and for a TH9 farming base, that is a sensible defensive strategy.
