The first thing that catches my eye here is the wide V-shaped wall running around the upper half of the base. It looks almost oversized compared with the compact core, but that appears to be intentional. Rather than sealing every building inside one large box, the design uses those long walls to influence where troops travel and to make the obvious route toward the Builder Hall less straightforward.

The Builder Hall 8 number 09 sits in the upper-middle part of the core, surrounded by several of the base’s more important defenses. It is not buried at the very back, yet getting to it cleanly may be harder than the distance suggests. Troops approaching from the bottom have to move through a tighter central section, while an entry from either side can send units around the walls instead of directly toward the Hall.

That pathing pressure is probably the strongest part of the design. The lower half narrows toward the center, almost like a funnel. Ground troops that start across a wide deployment line may gradually compress into the same area. Once they do, splash damage and concentrated defensive fire become much more useful. On the other hand, if the army does not stay together, some units can drift toward the side buildings while the main group pushes inward. Neither outcome is particularly comfortable for the attacker.

The Multi Mortar positioned behind the Builder Hall is well protected for a long-range defense. It can keep contributing while other buildings closer to the front absorb the initial push. Several point defenses are also placed at different angles around the Hall, so a troop attacking one target may still remain exposed to fire from another section.

Air armies have to account for the Air Bombs on the right side. Their placement is interesting because they are not buried directly beside the Builder Hall. An attacker may be tempted to enter from that side to remove them early, but doing so can pull the attack away from the most direct line into the core. Approaching from elsewhere keeps the Air Bombs alive longer, which may become uncomfortable once flying troops eventually move across the middle.

The outer buildings add another small defensive layer. Structures placed beyond the main walls can attract troops that target whatever is closest, particularly around the lower and side edges. A few seconds spent walking toward one of those buildings may not seem important at first, but it can separate supporting units from the main push and give the central defenses extra firing time.

There is a trade-off here. The core itself is quite compact, and a well-organized attack that reaches it with plenty of surviving troops could remove several defenses quickly. The long upper walls also protect space rather than buildings in some areas, so a skilled attacker may find ways to use that geometry to shape troop movement in their favor.

Even so, the defensive idea feels purposeful. This BH8 base is less about hiding the Builder Hall and more about funneling troops, disrupting formation and concentrating damage around the middle. When an attacker loses control of pathing, even briefly, the design has a good chance to turn that mistake into lost troops and valuable time.
