TH11 Farming Base #3: Layered-Square Layout with Staged Storage Protection

TH11 Farming Layout #3 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the upper side of the core. Looking at the actual base, the design feels more focused on protecting resources in stages than on building one intimidating central bunker. The storages are spread through different sections, while walls and defensive buildings make the route from one valuable pocket to the next noticeably less direct.

For a farming base, that is a sensible trade. One storage might be reachable, but taking the next one should cost more time, troops, or wall access.

The layered squares slow down resource collection

The wall structure is probably the strongest feature here.

Several compartments overlap around the middle, so opening the first wall does not suddenly expose the entire village. Troops still need to cross another boundary or change direction before reaching deeper resources.

That extra movement is easy to underestimate. A raid can look comfortable during the first 30 seconds, then start losing efficiency because different groups are clearing different sections.

From the defender's perspective, that is useful. The base does not necessarily need to destroy everything. Slowing the attack long enough to preserve one or two storages can already make the layout worthwhile.

The Town Hall supports the defense without dominating it

The Town Hall sits slightly above center, surrounded by resource buildings and several high-value defenses.

I think that placement fits a farming layout well. It keeps the Town Hall protected, but it does not make the whole base depend on one objective. If an attacker focuses heavily on the Town Hall, some storage pockets may remain untouched. If the raid prioritizes loot instead, the core can stay active for longer.

That creates a practical choice rather than an obvious route.

Defensive threats are spread across different sections

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are not grouped neatly together, which makes the defensive plan harder to simplify with one spell sequence.

Electro Dragons may find good chain value in some compact areas, but the layout is not equally dense everywhere. Once they leave those pockets, their pathing may become less efficient.

Queen Charge LavaLoon is another realistic threat, especially if the Queen can remove one side of the anti-air network before the air phase begins. Hog or Miner Hybrid could also work if the attacker keeps the path narrow and avoids unnecessary troop splits.

Still, none of those approaches looks completely automatic.

The right edge is the main structural concern

The right edge appears to be the easiest side to funnel.

The weakness is a disciplined corner entry that creates a fairly straight path through two wall layers. If that route is opened cheaply, some of the defensive depth disappears and the inner storages become easier to reach.

That side therefore needs to consume something—hero health, spells, abilities, troops, or simply time—before the attack reaches the center.

Why Layout #3 works for Farming

The real strength of TH11 Farming Base #3 is that each additional storage requires another stage of the raid.

Its layered walls, offset Town Hall, separated resource pockets, divided Inferno pressure, and spread air coverage all support one idea: taking the first valuable section should be easier than taking everything else.
