TH11 Farming Base #7: Layered-Square Layout Built to Protect Resources in Stages
TH11 Farming Layout #7 uses a layered-square design with the Town Hall sitting near the center behind the main storage line. Looking at the base itself, the defensive plan seems less interested in creating one impossible central bunker and more focused on making resource collection inconvenient. Gold and Elixir Storages are spread through different sections, while several wall layers force troops to keep changing direction.
For a farming base, that is a sensible idea. An attacker might reach one valuable pocket without too much trouble, but getting from there to the next storage is a different problem.
The storages help shield the core
The storage placement is probably the most important part of this design.
Rather than grouping every resource building together, Layout #7 distributes them around the inner defensive structure. That means a successful entry does not automatically expose all the loot at once.
Storages also have enough hit points to slow troops while nearby X-Bows, Inferno Towers, Wizard Towers, and other defenses keep firing. In a close raid, those few extra seconds can matter more than they seem.
The Town Hall benefits from the same setup. It stays protected near the center, but the village does not depend entirely on keeping it alive. Resource preservation remains the larger priority.
Layered walls create repeated stopping points
The wall arrangement forms several square sections around the core.
That gives the base depth without making it overly complicated. Breaking the first wall layer is only the beginning; troops still need to cross another section before reaching deeper storages or high-value defenses.
This structure may also create awkward troop splits. A few units can get pulled toward an outside storage while the main force continues inward. Once that happens, spell coverage becomes less efficient and the remaining defenses get longer firing windows.
For farming, that kind of delay is useful even if the attack is not completely stopped.
Air and Inferno coverage is staggered
The Air Defenses form staggered coverage around the core, while the Inferno Towers act as separate defensive anchors rather than one compact pair.
That spacing reduces the chance of one clean spell sequence solving too much at once.
Queen Charge LavaLoon may still find a workable route, but the air phase has to deal with different defensive zones rather than one obvious cluster. Hog or Miner Hybrid can also pressure the layout, although the compartment structure may punish poor pathing.
Electro Dragons could find chain value in some of the tighter pockets, but the base is not compact everywhere, so that advantage may disappear as the attack spreads.
The right edge is the main weakness
The right edge appears to be the easiest side to shape.
The biggest risk is a disciplined corner funnel that creates a fairly straight route through two wall layers. If that opening is made cheaply, the attacker can reach the inner structure faster and reduce some of the pathing friction the layout depends on.
Defensively, this side should ideally consume time, hero health, abilities, or troop strength before the core is threatened.
Why Layout #7 works for Farming
The real strength of TH11 Farming Base #7 is that it protects resources in stages.
The central Town Hall, separated storages, layered walls, staggered Air Defenses, and divided Inferno pressure all support the same idea: taking one storage should be noticeably easier than taking all of them.
