TH11 Farming Base #5: Layered-Square Defense Built Around Staged Resource Protection

TH11 Farming Layout #5 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the upper side of the core. Looking at the actual layout, the base seems designed around a simple farming principle: make every extra storage cost more than the last one.

The resources are not gathered into one easy central pocket. Instead, valuable buildings sit behind different wall sections, with defensive towers covering the routes between them. A raider may get some loot from the first compartment, but continuing toward the rest of the base requires more time and another commitment.

The layered walls make progress expensive

The wall structure is probably the most important feature of Layout #5.

Several square compartments overlap around the center, so breaking through the first layer does not immediately expose the whole village. Troops may still need another wall break, a Jump-style route, or extra travel before reaching the next valuable section.

That delay matters in farming defense.

A base does not have to destroy every attacking troop to do its job. Sometimes forcing an army to spend another 15 or 20 seconds moving between compartments is enough to save a storage on the opposite side.

The Town Hall supports the core without dominating it

The Town Hall sits slightly above center rather than occupying a perfectly symmetrical position.

That may actually help the layout. It keeps the main objective protected while preventing the entire village from being built around one predictable path.

Storages and high-value defenses remain spread around the Town Hall, so a raid focused heavily on the objective may leave resources elsewhere untouched. Conversely, an attacker chasing loot first still has to deal with the central defensive pressure later.

Defensive threats are intentionally separated

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are not packed into one tidy group.

That spacing forces the attacker to decide which threat matters most at each stage. It also reduces the chance that one spell sequence controls too many important defenses at once.

Electro Dragons may find good chain value in some compact sections, but the village is not equally dense everywhere. Queen Charge LavaLoon can also threaten the base, although the Queen phase needs to create a useful air path rather than simply remove one corner.

Hog or Miner Hybrid is another realistic counter, especially if the attacker manages to keep the pathing narrow and predictable.

The right edge is the main structural weakness

The right edge appears to offer the easiest funnel.

The biggest danger is a disciplined corner entry that creates a relatively straight route through two wall layers. If that happens cheaply, some of the defensive depth disappears and the attacker can reach the inner resource area much faster than intended.

For the defense, this side ideally needs to consume hero health, abilities, troops, or simply enough time to slow the push before it reaches the core.

Why Layout #5 works for Farming

The strongest quality of TH11 Farming Base #5 is that the resources are protected in stages rather than placed on one route.

The layered walls, offset Town Hall, separated storage pockets, spread Air Defenses, and divided Inferno pressure all support the same idea: one successful entry should not become a full loot sweep.
