TH11 Clan War Base #1: Offset-Ring Defense Built to Disrupt Three-Star Pathing
TH11 Clan War Layout #1 uses an offset-ring structure with the Town Hall positioned toward the left side, away from several other high-value defenses. Looking at the actual base, this separation seems to be the main defensive idea. The Town Hall is important, but the layout does not allow one successful push to remove every major objective at the same time.
For Clan War, that is a sensible trade. The attacker may secure one section, yet still have to solve the Eagle Artillery, Inferno Towers, Air Defenses, heroes, and remaining compartments before the third star becomes realistic.
The Town Hall creates a separate commitment
The Town Hall sits away from the exact center of the defensive network. That means an army built specifically to secure it may not naturally continue through the strongest remaining defenses.
This can create an awkward choice during scouting. Committing heavily to the Town Hall may preserve other defensive value. Going through the stronger central section first, meanwhile, risks leaving the Town Hall outside the main troop path.
Neither route appears completely comfortable.
That is exactly what an anti-three-star base wants: not an impossible objective, but several objectives that are difficult to combine into one clean attack phase.
The ring is designed to influence troop movement
The wall network forms an uneven ring around the inner sections.
Its real purpose appears to be pathing control. If the funnel is not precise, troops can begin following buildings around the ring while heroes or another part of the army move inward.
Once that happens, the attacking formation becomes less efficient.
Hog or Miner Hybrid attacks are particularly sensitive to this kind of movement because Heal placement depends on predictable troop paths. A poorly shaped entry could spread the Hybrid across different sections instead of keeping it concentrated.
Queen Charge LavaLoon has a similar challenge. The Queen may successfully remove one compartment, but the remaining air route still needs to be shaped carefully.
Air Defenses and Infernos stay separated
The Air Defenses appear to cover crossing lanes, while the Inferno Towers sit far enough apart that controlling one does not automatically solve the other.
That spacing helps the base preserve pressure throughout the raid.
Electro Dragons may find attractive chain value in a few compact sections, but the layout is not one giant dense block. Once they leave those pockets, wider spacing can make their movement less efficient.
For LavaLoon, removing one Air Defense still leaves other coverage zones active elsewhere.
The lower-left edge is the main structural weakness
The lower-left side looks like the most natural place to establish a funnel.
The bigger danger is cutting the ring beside the offset Town Hall before the main troops begin circling. If an attacker opens that section cleanly, the complicated ring can suddenly become a much shorter route toward the important objectives.
This makes the lower-left area especially important for hidden traps, Clan Castle pressure, and overlapping defensive fire.
Why Layout #1 works for Clan War
The strongest feature of TH11 Clan War Base #1 is that a successful three-star attempt needs several pieces to work in the correct order.
The Town Hall requires planning. The offset ring interferes with troop movement. Separated Air Defenses and Infernos preserve defensive value, while surviving compartments can create late cleanup pressure.
