TH11 Clan War Base #9: Offset-Ring Defense Built for Three-Star Denial
TH11 Clan War Layout #9 uses an offset-ring structure with the Town Hall separated toward the left side of the main defensive network. Looking at the base itself, the layout is noticeably different from a simple symmetrical war base. Important defenses and major objectives are spread across several pockets, so an attacker cannot comfortably remove everything valuable with one straight push.
That is where the Clan War value comes from. This base may allow access to one important objective, but turning that early success into a three-star attack appears considerably harder.
The Town Hall is separated from other key targets
The Town Hall placement is one of the more interesting choices here.
Rather than stacking the Town Hall, Eagle Artillery, Inferno Towers, and other high-value defenses into one compact core, the layout separates their defensive value. An attacker who commits heavily to one objective may leave another dangerous section active.
That can create an uncomfortable decision during war scouting. Do you build the army around securing the Town Hall early, or preserve more strength for the deeper defensive sections?
Neither option looks completely free.
This separation also helps the base avoid an all-or-nothing defense. Even if the Town Hall falls, the remaining compartments may still contain enough damage to challenge the third star.
The offset ring is mainly a pathing trap
The walls form an uneven ring around the inner defensive areas. Their purpose appears to be less about stopping troops completely and more about changing where those troops travel.
A ground army entering from one section can begin circling around the ring instead of pushing directly toward the intended target. Once that happens, heroes and support troops may no longer stay together.
That is useful against Hog or Miner Hybrid-style attacks, where clean pathing matters a lot. It can also complicate Queen Charge setups if the Queen removes the wrong side of the ring and unintentionally leaves a difficult route for the main army.
Air and Inferno coverage stays divided
The Air Defenses are spread around different inner compartments, while the Inferno Towers are separated rather than sitting together in one convenient spell zone.
That should reduce simple spell value.
Electro Dragons may find some compact sections where chain damage is attractive, but the overall base is not one dense block. Their pathing could become awkward once the attack moves between separated compartments.
Queen Charge LavaLoon faces a different challenge: removing one air-defense zone does not automatically neutralize the opposite side.
The lower-left edge is the clearest entry point
The lower-left edge appears to be the most manageable place to establish a funnel.
The real weakness is what happens if an attacker cuts the ring beside the offset objective before the main army begins to circle. A clean break there could turn a complicated path into a much shorter route through the village.
So this side probably carries extra defensive responsibility. Hidden traps, Clan Castle troops, or well-timed defensive pressure could make a major difference here.
Why Layout #9 works for Clan War
The strongest feature of TH11 Clan War Base #9 is that it makes the attack solve several problems separately.
The Town Hall demands attention. The offset ring interferes with pathing. Separated Air Defenses and Infernos preserve defensive value, while distant compartments can create late cleanup pressure.
