TH13 Clan War Base #30 – Open Anti-Three-Star Layout Analysis

Town Hall 13 Clan War Layout #30 looks like the kind of base that does not try to intimidate with perfect symmetry. Instead, it seems built to make an attacker solve several small problems in the right order. That usually matters more in war than looking neat.

The first thing that stands out is the Town Hall placement. It is offset toward the upper side rather than sitting exactly in the center, which changes the feel of the whole base. An attacker may see that offset objective and think there is an easier early route to secure a safe star. In practice, that decision can come with a tradeoff. Taking the Town Hall is one job, but keeping enough troops alive for the rest of the base is a different challenge.

The overall core shape is best described as an open anti-three-star design. It does not fully seal every important area into one compact block. Instead, the structure leaves room for movement, redirection, and awkward transitions. That is useful in Clan War because a base does not always need to stop the first star. Often, it just needs to break the rhythm of the attack before the second phase turns into clean percentage collection.

Another strong point here is the way the air defenses and Inferno Towers are distributed. The Air Defenses appear to guard crossing lanes rather than one single side, so air troops do not get one obvious safe sweep through the village. The Inferno Towers are also spaced far enough apart that one spell setup may not calm everything down at once. That spacing matters. Against popular TH13 plans like Yeti or Bowler Smash, or even Dragon and LavaLoon variants, the defense seems designed to keep multiple threats active instead of allowing one clean collapse.

The lower-right edge looks like the most natural place to start a funnel. That said, “easiest funnel” does not mean “easy attack.” There is a difference. A player may be able to remove outside buildings there without much trouble, but converting that start into clean access through the core is where the base begins to push back. I think that is one reason this layout fits war use so well. It gives away just enough structure to tempt a plan, then asks whether that plan can still hold together after the first layer.

If there is a real weakness, it is probably the one already hinted at in the profile: securing the offset Town Hall early while still preserving the main force for cleanup. In other words, if an attacker can claim the key objective without overcommitting, the rest of the village may become more manageable. Still, that is easier said than done. On many war hits, the attack that looks comfortable at 30 seconds starts feeling messy by the time troops split, heroes drift, or cleanup stalls on the edges.
