TH14 Farming Base #14: Storage-Led Diamond Defense Built to Preserve Loot
TH14 Farming Layout #14 uses a storage-led diamond structure with the Town Hall protected near the center behind the main resource line. Looking at the actual base, what stands out first is that the storages are not treated as one big prize. They sit across different defensive lanes, with walls and high-damage defenses breaking up the route from one resource pocket to the next.
That gives the layout a clear farming purpose. It may lose one storage during a strong raid, but the design appears focused on preventing that first loss from turning into a complete sweep of the available loot.
The storages help defend the core
The Gold and Elixir Storages are placed around the central structure rather than pushed together into one easy compartment.
This does two jobs.
First, it separates the loot. A raider reaching one valuable building still has to move into another section before threatening the rest. Second, storages have enough hit points to keep troops occupied while Inferno Towers, X-Bows, Scattershots, and surrounding defenses continue firing.
That extra delay is easy to underestimate. A few seconds spent on one storage can be enough for the next defensive pocket to stay intact.
The Town Hall benefits from the same arrangement. It remains part of the core without becoming the only target worth protecting.
The diamond shape creates defensive friction
The wall pattern forms several diagonal routes around the center.
Rather than creating one straight corridor through the valuable buildings, Layout #14 repeatedly changes the direction troops are likely to travel. From a defensive point of view, that can cause an attacking formation to stretch.
One group may move toward a storage while another is pulled toward a nearby defense. Once that happens, the raid becomes less efficient even if plenty of troops are still alive.
For a farming layout, that is useful. The goal is not always to wipe out the army; sometimes slowing the rate at which loot disappears is enough.
Air and Inferno coverage stays separated
The Air Defenses appear positioned to cover crossing lanes rather than one side only, while the Inferno Towers sit far enough apart to behave as separate defensive anchors.
That spacing helps reduce easy spell value.
If one defensive zone is controlled, another can remain active around a different storage pocket. Against Dragons or LavaLoon, this may help preserve pressure deeper into the village. Yeti or Bowler Smash and Queen Charge Hybrid face the same broader defensive problem: one successful section does not automatically remove all the threats protecting the rest of the loot.
The lower-right side is the main pressure point
The lower-right edge appears to be the most exposed part of the layout.
Defensively, this is the area that needs to avoid giving away a cheap diagonal route. If the nearby storage lane falls too quickly, troops may gain cleaner access toward the center and bypass some of the travel time the diamond shape is meant to create.
That does not mean the side must stop every raid. Making that first section cost extra time, health, abilities, or troop strength may already be enough to protect resources elsewhere.
Why Layout #14 works for Farming
The real strength of TH14 Farming Base #14 is resource separation.
Its storage-led diamond, central Town Hall, divided defensive anchors, and staggered air coverage are all working toward the same goal: allow limited loot loss without making the rest of the resource area easy to reach.
