TH14 Farming Base #16: A Storage-Led Diamond That Tries to Slow Loot Loss, Not Just Stop Attacks
Town Hall 14 Farming Layout #16 looks like a base built with a fairly practical idea in mind: do not make the loot easy to sweep in one pass. After looking at the layout, that seems to be the real point here. The Town Hall sits near the center, but more importantly, it sits behind the main storage line, which immediately changes how the base feels. An attacker may get an outside compartment or clip one storage, sure, but reaching the deeper value appears to require more commitment than a casual farming hit usually wants to spend.
That is why the Farming label makes sense.
The core shape is best described as a storage-led diamond. In plain terms, the important resource buildings are not dumped into one neat line or one simple corner. They are layered in a way that may force raiders to choose: do they settle for one section of loot, or do they push deeper and risk burning more troops, spells, and time? For a farming base, that tradeoff is often more useful than trying to be a perfect anti-three-star design.
One thing I like here is the way the defensive coverage seems to work across crossing lanes instead of leaning too heavily to a single side. The Air Defenses appear positioned to protect multiple routes into the base, which can make air pathing less comfortable. A Dragon or LavaLoon player might still find value, of course, but it does not look like a free glide from one edge straight through the village. The coverage may suggest that the designer wanted attackers to feel split between several priorities rather than enjoy one obvious route.
The Inferno Towers also seem spaced far enough apart to reduce easy spell efficiency. That matters more than people sometimes admit. When major defenses sit too close together, one Freeze or one clean spell sequence can flatten the hardest part of the base. Here, the spacing appears intentional. It may not shut down an attack by itself, but it likely makes the core more annoying to manage.
As for weaknesses, the lower-right edge looks like the easiest funnel. That lines up with the tactical note, and I think it is a fair read. If an attacker opens that side cleanly, a diagonal push could turn an exposed storage lane into access toward the center. That is probably the most realistic danger in this layout. In other words, the base does not collapse for free, but if someone builds a disciplined funnel and keeps their push tight, the core may become more reachable than the outer shape first suggests.
Even so, the layout still does what a farming base should do. A quick raid may grab one storage or one pocket of loot, but taking the rest looks slower and more awkward. That is the real value here. It does not need to be unbeatable. It just needs to make every extra step feel expensive.
