TH6 Farming Base number 7 – Compact Core and Resource Defense Analysis
This TH6 farming base takes a compact approach to defense, but there is a clear purpose behind the way the compartments are arranged. The Town Hall sits slightly left of the center, while most of the valuable storage space is concentrated deeper inside the walls. Rather than making the Town Hall the only protected target, the layout appears to prioritize keeping attackers under fire while they work through the resource area.
The two Elixir Storages sit close together near the middle. That is both a strength and a weakness. They are well protected behind walls and surrounded by defensive buildings, so a casual Goblin rush is unlikely to reach them cheaply. On the other hand, if an attacker manages to break into that central compartment with a healthy army, both Elixir Storages could potentially be reached during the same push.
Gold protection is handled a little differently. The Gold Storages are placed more toward the right half of the base, which spreads some of the loot away from the Elixir-heavy center. An attacker who commits heavily from the left to reach the Town Hall and Elixir may still have to move across another defended section to collect the remaining Gold.
The wall arrangement is probably the most useful defensive feature here. Several small compartments divide the base rather than one big outer box. Giants can break in and still be pulled toward different Cannons, Archer Towers, or other defenses instead of moving directly where the attacker expected.
Support troops may not follow them either. Wizards or Archers can stop on nearby buildings while the Giants move deeper. If that happens, the attack begins to lose its shape. At TH6, there are fewer ways to recover from a bad funnel, so this kind of separation may be surprisingly costly.
The storages themselves contribute to the defense as well. They have plenty of hit points, which means attacking troops remain in one area for longer while surrounding defenses keep firing. A few extra seconds beside an Elixir Storage can be enough for a Mortar or splash defense to remove several low-health support troops.
I also like the top-and-bottom defensive pressure. Important defenses are not all grouped on one side, so simply choosing one “weak” corner does not remove the whole defensive network. The outer collectors and other buildings can provide some easy percentage, but they may also pull poorly placed troops away from the intended entry.
The compact footprint does create one genuine risk. Once an attacker gains control of the core, several important buildings are within short walking distance. A well-prepared Giant-and-Wizard push could take advantage of that density.
Still, for everyday TH6 farming, the layout makes sense. Its defense is built around small compartments, high-hitpoint storage delays, split resource zones, and troop pathing that can turn one clean-looking raid into several smaller fights. It may lose a storage or even the Town Hall, but forcing an attacker to spend more troops to collect everything is exactly what a farming base should be trying to do.
