TH6 Ranked Base number 4 – Central Core and Compartment Defense Analysis
This TH6 Ranked base is compact, symmetrical, and built around a fairly clear defensive idea: make the attacker spend time crossing several small compartments before getting comfortable access to the center. The Town Hall sits in the middle of the layout, protected by its own wall section, while the main defensive buildings are split across the surrounding boxes. On paper it looks simple. In practice, that separation may create more awkward troop movement than the shape first suggests.
The two Elixir Storages are placed on opposite sides of the core, with Gold Storages also kept away from the outer edge. In a Ranked layout, those storages are useful for more than resource protection. They have enough hit points to slow troops down, and that delay gives nearby defenses extra time to fire. A group of Giants that stops on a storage for a few seconds can lose a surprising amount of health before moving on.
Ground pathing is probably the most interesting part of this design. The walls form several individual compartments rather than one open square. Giants coming in from the left, for example, may lock onto a nearby Cannon or Archer Tower while Wizards behind them pause on another building. If the funnel is slightly off, the tanks and support troops can separate before the Town Hall is even reached.
The splash defenses are positioned to take advantage of that. The Mortars sit deeper in the base, where they can cover broad sections without being easy first targets, while the Wizard Towers are protected in the lower compartments. That setup appears useful against grouped Archers, Barbarians, or Wizards, especially once they start collecting around a wall opening or storage.
Air defense is handled reasonably well too. The key anti-air buildings are kept inside the wall network rather than placed directly on the perimeter. That does not make the base immune to Balloons, of course, but it means an attacker usually has to move through defensive fire before removing the main air coverage. Archer Towers add another layer from the sides.
I also like the ring of buildings outside the walls. They are easy percentage, so there is a trade-off, but they can make funneling less clean. Troops dropped too widely may spend time clearing collectors and other structures instead of entering the base where the attacker intended.
The main weakness is the compact core. Once an attacker opens the center with enough troops still alive, several important buildings are close together and can fall quickly. The symmetry also makes the layout easier to read after a careful look, so experienced players may find a preferred entry without too much guesswork.
Overall, this is a balanced TH6 Ranked defense rather than a gimmick base. Its strength comes from compartment depth, central Town Hall protection, storage-based stalling, protected splash damage, and enough troop-path disruption to punish a rushed attack. It may not stop every strong TH6 army, but it should make careless deployment and weak funneling noticeably more expensive.
