TH6 Ranked Base number 6 – Split Compartments and Central Defense Analysis
This TH6 Ranked base is small and fairly symmetrical, but there is more going on here than the shape suggests. The Town Hall sits inside its own protected section, while the left and right halves of the village are broken into separate compartments. An attacker can break through one side, but that does not immediately open a straight route across the whole base.
That separation is probably the strongest feature of the layout.
The Town Hall is positioned in the upper-middle area, with several defenses surrounding the approach. It is not sitting against the outer wall, so troops normally have to deal with other targets before reaching it. Directing an entire ground army into that compartment may also be harder than it looks because nearby defenses can pull Giants toward the sides.
The two Elixir Storages are placed on opposite sides of the lower half, while the Gold Storages are separated farther left and right. In Ranked defense, these buildings do more than hold resources. Their high hit points make them useful delays. Troops can spend several seconds attacking a storage while the defenses behind it continue firing.
That becomes particularly useful against Giant-based armies.
Imagine Giants entering from the left. They may lock onto a nearby defensive building, while Wizards or Archers behind them stop to clear the Gold Storage or another structure. The tanks continue moving, the support troops fall behind, and suddenly the attack is not as organized as it looked at deployment. A careful funnel can avoid this, of course, but rushed attacks may struggle.
The splash defenses are also placed where they can benefit from that troop movement. Mortars cover broad sections of the base, while the Wizard Towers are protected inside the wall structure rather than sitting completely exposed around the perimeter. Groups of Barbarians, Archers, or Wizards that stay close together could take heavy damage while the Giants are occupied elsewhere.
The Clan Castle placement deserves some credit too. It appears to sit deep in the lower-central section, which may make defending Clan Castle troops less convenient to lure compared with a Castle placed near the edge. If reinforcement troops are available, that can add another problem for an attacker trying to keep the push controlled.
There are some weaknesses. The base is compact, so once an attacker successfully reaches the center with enough troops alive, several important buildings are fairly close together. Its symmetry also makes the overall structure easier to understand after a careful look. A strong attack from one of the diagonal approaches may be able to create a clean route through multiple compartments.
Still, for TH6 Ranked defense, the concept is practical. The layout relies on separated compartments, central Town Hall protection, storage-based delays, splash damage, and troop pathing that can pull tanks away from their support units. It may not stop every strong TH6 attack, but it should make careless deployment and weak funneling noticeably more expensive.
