TH6 Ranked Base number 8 – Central Town Hall and Split Splash Defense Analysis

What caught my attention first with this TH6 Ranked base is not really the outer shape. It is the way the important defenses are divided around the Town Hall. The layout is compact, but the walls create several small compartments, meaning one successful Wall Breaker entry does not immediately open the whole village.

The Town Hall sits in its own small central compartment. That is a sensible choice for Ranked defense because troops cannot simply enter from one side and walk directly onto it. There are defensive buildings on both sides, and an attacker still has to deal with another wall section before getting reliable access to the center.

Just below the Town Hall, the Clan Castle is also positioned deep inside the base. I like this placement because it keeps one of the more useful defensive elements away from the perimeter. If defending Clan Castle troops are available, pulling them out cleanly may take a little more effort than it would with an exposed Castle.

The two Mortars are separated between the upper-left and upper-right compartments. That separation matters. Destroying one does not remove all of the base's long-range splash pressure, and both can cover areas where Barbarians, Archers, or supporting Wizards may gather behind Giants.

Lower down, the two Wizard Towers sit on opposite sides of the Clan Castle area. This may be one of the stronger parts of the layout. Attackers moving toward the Elixir and Gold Storages are likely to spend time in range of splash damage, particularly if several troops bunch together after entering through the same wall opening.

The storages themselves also work as defensive obstacles. One Elixir Storage is positioned toward the right, while another sits lower in the base, with Gold Storages separated across the inner sections. Since these buildings have high hit points, troops can spend valuable seconds attacking them while the surrounding defenses continue firing.

Ground pathing could become a little awkward as well. A group of Giants entering from the left might move toward the nearest defense while Wizards behind them stop on a storage or another building. Once the tanks and support troops separate, even a fairly simple TH6 defense can start doing more damage than expected.

There are weaknesses. The layout is compact, so a strong attacker who reaches the middle with most of the army intact can move between important defenses fairly quickly. Several collectors and other buildings are also outside the walls, offering relatively easy percentage. And because the structure is fairly symmetrical, experienced players may understand the likely pathing after studying it.

Even so, the defensive concept is sensible for TH6 Ranked play. The base uses a protected central Town Hall, separated Mortars, well-placed splash damage, high-hitpoint storage buffers, and multiple wall compartments to make a straightforward push less comfortable. It will not guarantee a defense against every strong attack, but it appears particularly capable of punishing rushed deployment and poorly supported Giant-based pushes.
