TH6 Clan War Base number 5 – Compact Core and Multi-Compartment Defense
This TH6 Clan War base is quite compact, but the builder has avoided one of the easiest mistakes at this level: putting everything important inside a single open box. The Town Hall sits near the center, while the surrounding defenses are divided into several small compartments. That means opening the first wall is only the beginning of the attack.
The Town Hall placement looks sensible for war. It is far enough from the edge that an attacker cannot simply send a few troops straight toward it, and there are defensive targets on several sides of the core. A Giant-based army may reach the interior, but getting the Giants, Wizards, and Wall Breakers to follow the same route is likely to be the bigger challenge.
The left and right compartments are especially useful for this. Each side gives Giants another defensive target to lock onto. If the attacker enters from an angle rather than creating a proper funnel, some Giants may drift sideways while Wizards or Archers remain behind clearing other buildings. At TH6, losing that connection between tanks and support troops can hurt surprisingly quickly.
The two Elixir Storages also help slow movement. They sit on different sides rather than being stacked together. In Clan War, the resources inside them do not matter, so their real defensive value comes from their high hit points. Troops can spend several seconds attacking a storage while nearby defenses continue firing.
I would expect the splash defenses to benefit from those delays. Mortars can pressure larger groups from range, while Wizard Towers are much more dangerous once Barbarians, Archers, or Wizards begin bunching behind Giants. A rushed attack might look comfortable during the first few seconds, then lose most of its support troops once it reaches the inner compartments.
Another detail I like is that the defensive power is not concentrated entirely in the Town Hall compartment. Important defenses remain spread around the village, so even if the attacker reaches the center, there can still be enough firepower on the outside to slow the cleanup.
The perimeter buildings are a bit of a trade-off. They offer some fairly easy destruction percentage, but they can also interfere with troop placement. If an attacker spreads troops too widely, part of the army may start clearing outside buildings instead of entering the intended wall opening.
There are weaknesses, of course. The base is small and fairly symmetrical, so an experienced TH6 attacker can probably understand the structure quickly. Once the central area is opened, several important buildings are also close together. A strong push with enough Giants and Wizards still alive could move through the core fast.
Even so, the defensive idea is solid for TH6 Clan War. The layout relies on multiple compartments, central Town Hall protection, storage-based delays, split troop pathing, and splash damage that can punish grouped support troops. It may not stop every well-planned attack, but poor funneling or careless troop deployment could turn what looks like an easy three-star into a much less comfortable fight.
