TH7 Ranked Base number 4 – Layered Diamond Core Defense Analysis
At first glance, this TH7 Ranked base looks very orderly. The walls form a compact diamond, the Town Hall sits almost exactly in the middle, and the important defenses are spread around it rather than pushed toward one side. That symmetry makes the village easy on the eyes, but defensively the more interesting detail is the number of separate compartments an attacker has to cross.
The Town Hall is surrounded by its own inner wall structure. Getting through the outside of the base is only the first step; troops still need to work inward before they can comfortably reach the center. That extra layer may buy valuable time for the nearby defenses, particularly when a ground army enters without a very clean funnel.
Both Gold Storages sit toward the upper half, while the two Elixir Storages are separated on the lower-left and lower-right sides. Since this is a Ranked layout, the resources themselves are not really the point. What matters is that storages have a lot of hit points. They can hold attacking troops in place while Archer Towers, Cannons, Wizard Towers, Mortars, and other defenses continue firing.
The internal pathing looks fairly awkward too. Several compartments meet around the Town Hall but do not simply open into one large central room. Giants that enter from the left, for example, may move toward one defensive target while supporting Wizards remain behind dealing with a storage or another building. If that separation happens early, the attacking army can lose momentum before it reaches the core.
Splash damage appears to be positioned with this in mind. The Wizard Towers and Mortars are kept within the defensive structure instead of sitting exposed on the outer edge. Their job is likely to punish clustered support troops once the tanks are already occupied. At TH7, losing a group of Wizards or Archers halfway through the push can make the rest of the attack noticeably harder.
Air defense is just as important at this level because Dragon attacks are a common threat. The key anti-air buildings are placed inside the base rather than being easy perimeter targets. This forces air troops to spend more time under fire before removing them, while Archer Towers add coverage from several directions.
There is also a fair amount of spacing around the main walls. Outside buildings can give away some easy percentage, which is a genuine weakness, but they may also interfere with funneling. A player who spreads troops too widely could have part of the army walking around the edge while the main force enters alone.
The biggest drawback is probably the symmetry. An experienced attacker can study the base and understand the defensive pattern fairly quickly. The central area is also compact, so a strong push that reaches it with plenty of troops remaining may remove several key buildings in a short period.
Even with those limitations, the defensive idea is sound. This TH7 Ranked base relies on central Town Hall protection, repeated compartments, storage-based delays, protected splash damage, and enough pathing disruption to punish sloppy deployment. It does not depend on a single trick, which makes it a practical layout for players who want a balanced Ranked defense rather than an overly specialized design.
