TH7 Ranked Base number 8 – Central Core and Split-Compartment Defense Analysis
This TH7 Ranked base has a fairly simple diamond outline, but the interior is divided in a way that makes the defense more interesting than it first looks. The Town Hall sits right around the center, while the major storages and defensive buildings are spread into separate sections on both sides. There is no single large compartment where everything important can be reached at once.
The central Town Hall placement is probably the clearest strength. It sits behind multiple wall sections and is surrounded by defenses that can keep firing while troops work their way inward. An attacker may get through the outer wall without much trouble, but reaching the center with the whole army still together is another matter.
That is where the compartment structure helps.
The upper-left and upper-right sections contain the main Gold and Elixir Storages, with defensive buildings mixed between them. Because these storages have high hit points, they act as useful buffers. Troops can spend several seconds destroying one while nearby Archer Towers, Cannons, Mortars, or Wizard Towers continue dealing damage.
The layout also uses a separate lower compartment rather than ending immediately below the Town Hall. I like that choice because it stretches the base vertically. Even if an attacker controls the center fairly early, there are still defended buildings farther down that need to be cleared. In a Ranked battle, those extra seconds may become important near the end.
Ground pathing appears reasonably awkward too. The walls do not form one open square; instead, there are several connected sections with defenses sitting at different depths. Giants may move toward a nearby defensive target while Wizards or Archers behind them stop on another building. A small split like that can leave the support troops exposed and reduce the strength of the push before it reaches the Town Hall.
Splash damage is another useful part of the defense. Mortars cover broad areas from inside the walls, while Wizard Towers are positioned where grouped troops are likely to pass. This should help against armies that rely heavily on clusters of lower-health units behind tanks.
Air defense also seems to be protected rather than handed over at the edge. The main anti-air buildings sit within the wall structure, which means Dragons or Balloons generally have to spend time moving through other targets before removing the key air coverage. Archer Towers provide additional pressure from different angles.
There are a few compromises. The base is fairly symmetrical, so experienced players may understand its basic structure quickly. Some buildings outside the walls also offer easy percentage, and a strong push that successfully reaches the central section could gain access to several important targets in a short time.
Still, the overall defensive concept suits TH7 Ranked play well. The layout relies on central Town Hall protection, separated defensive compartments, high-hitpoint storage buffers, splash coverage, and enough depth to create cleanup pressure. It does not depend on one trick; instead, it tries to make a clean, uninterrupted attack difficult from the first wall break to the final buildings.
