TH7 Clan War Base number 5 – Compartment Control and Core Defense Analysis

This TH7 Clan War base looks fairly compact, but it is not built as one simple box. The walls divide the village into a collection of uneven compartments, with the Town Hall sitting well inside the defensive structure. That may be the most useful part of the design: breaking the first wall does not suddenly give an attacker control of the entire base.

The Town Hall is surrounded by several defensive targets rather than being isolated in its own empty compartment. Ground troops moving toward it are likely to get distracted along the way. Giants, for example, may turn toward a nearby defense while Wizards or Archers behind them stop on storages and other buildings. A clean funnel can reduce that problem, but a rushed deployment could split the army quite early.

I also like the way the base uses its side compartments. The left and right sections do not mirror each other perfectly, so the attack path is a little harder to judge at first glance. One side may look like the easier entry, only for troops to start drifting toward another defensive pocket once they cross the wall.

That kind of pathing disruption is useful in Clan War.

The storages add another layer of delay. Protecting the actual Gold or Elixir is not important during a war attack, so these buildings can be treated as high-hitpoint obstacles. Troops that stop to destroy a storage remain under defensive fire for longer, giving nearby Cannons, Archer Towers, Mortars, and splash defenses extra time to work.

Splash damage appears reasonably protected as well. The key splash defenses are placed inside the wall network rather than sitting completely exposed on the outside. That may cause trouble for attacks using Giants with Wizards or Archers grouped behind them. If the tanks move ahead while the support troops remain clustered around a storage, a few splash hits can quickly weaken the push.

Air defense matters a lot at TH7, particularly because Dragon-based attacks are common. Here, the important anti-air coverage appears to be kept inside the defended area. That means Dragons or Balloons generally have to travel through other buildings before removing it, while Archer Towers continue adding damage from different directions.

Another small strength is the amount of base depth. Even after reaching the Town Hall area, an attacker still has structures and defenses spread toward the lower and side sections. That can create cleanup pressure if too many troops are lost during the initial push.

The layout does have some weaknesses. Several outside buildings provide fairly easy percentage, and the compact middle could give good value to a strong, well-timed attack. Once an experienced player understands the compartment pattern, the entry becomes easier to plan.

Still, this is a sensible TH7 Clan War design. Its defense relies on compartment separation, troop-path disruption, storage-based stalling, protected splash damage, and enough depth to make the final cleanup less comfortable. It will not guarantee a defense against every strong attack, but it appears well suited to punishing poor funnels and rushed three-star attempts.
