TH8 Farming Base number 1 – Deep Resource Core and Layered Defense Analysis
This TH8 farming base feels much more focused on protecting resources than protecting the Town Hall at all costs. The Town Hall sits toward the lower part of the layout, while the heavier concentration of storages and defenses is positioned farther inside. For a farming setup, that choice may actually be useful: an attacker can commit toward the Town Hall and still have a lot of work left before reaching the most valuable parts of the village.
The three Elixir Storages are a good example of that approach. They are spread across the upper and middle sections rather than grouped inside one room. Gold Storages are separated as well, with walls and defensive buildings breaking up the routes between them. Losing one compartment should not automatically expose every major resource building.
The inner structure is probably the most convincing part of the base. Several wall layers form a narrow diamond around the center, and the compartments become tighter as troops move inward. There is no single outer breach that suddenly opens everything.
That matters against ground armies. Giants may enter one section and then turn toward a nearby Cannon or Archer Tower, while Goblins or Wizards behind them become interested in storages. If those groups separate, even slightly, the defenses get more time to work on each part of the army individually.
Storage buildings also help create that delay. They have high hit points, so troops can sit on one target for several seconds before moving on. While that is happening, nearby defenses are still firing. It is not something that jumps out immediately when looking at a screenshot, but in farming defenses those extra seconds can save another storage farther inside.
Splash coverage appears sensibly placed. Wizard Towers protect different sections rather than sitting together, while Mortars can pressure groups moving through the central lanes. That should be useful against armies built around lots of low-health troops. A pack of Goblins may reach one resource building quickly, for example, but surviving long enough to cross the next compartment is another question.
The layout also appears to keep its key air defenses away from the very edge. An air army cannot simply remove all of the important anti-air protection immediately after deployment. Archer Towers add coverage from the sides, so air troops are likely to stay under defensive fire as they move deeper.
The lower Town Hall compartment creates an interesting trade-off. It is somewhat easier to approach than the central resource core, which may give an attacker a clearer objective from that side. On the other hand, committing heavily there could leave the upper storages and defenses largely untouched. For a farming base, that is not necessarily a bad exchange.
One weakness is the fairly narrow structure. Once a strong army successfully establishes a path through the middle, several important buildings become reachable in sequence. The symmetry also gives experienced attackers some clues about how the internal pathing may behave.
Still, as a TH8 farming base, the idea is practical. It relies on resource separation, layered walls, high-hitpoint delays, distributed splash damage, and an off-center Town Hall that does not expose the entire loot core when it falls. The layout may lose some defenses, but it is clearly built to make taking everything much less convenient.
