TH8 Farming Base number 6 – Vertical Diamond Resource Defense Analysis

This TH8 farming base has a noticeably narrow, vertical shape, and that seems intentional. Rather than spreading the village into a wide square, the layout concentrates its strongest areas through the middle and uses several small compartments to make movement from one end to the other slower than it first looks.

The Town Hall is kept inside the central section, with Gold and Elixir Storages positioned around it instead of being pushed toward the perimeter. For farming, that is a sensible choice. An attacker might get one storage fairly early, but collecting the rest means continuing deeper into the layout and dealing with another set of walls and defenses.

The Elixir Storages are especially well separated. They are placed at different levels through the middle of the village, while the Gold Storages are mixed into nearby compartments. There is no single storage room that gives away everything at once. That may help reduce full-loot raids, which is really what matters most in a farming base.

I find the wall structure more interesting than the symmetry. The base uses several small boxes and narrow passages rather than one open core. Giants can enter from one side and then get pulled toward a nearby defense, while Goblins or Wizards may stop on a storage somewhere else. If the attacker has not created a clean funnel, the army can start spreading out surprisingly quickly.

That is where the defensive coverage becomes useful.

Wizard Towers sit close to important resource zones, so groups of Goblins, Archers, or supporting Wizards may take splash damage while trying to work through the storages. Mortars add pressure from deeper positions. Neither defense is likely to stop a strong attack on its own, but together they can punish cheap farming armies that depend on keeping lots of low-health troops grouped behind tanks.

The storages themselves also contribute to the defense. They have enough hit points to hold troops in place for several seconds. While an attacker is chewing through a Gold or Elixir Storage, nearby Cannons, Archer Towers, Wizard Towers, and other defenses are still firing. That delay is easy to overlook, but in a close raid it can be the difference between reaching the next compartment with a healthy army and arriving there nearly finished.

Air protection appears reasonably tucked inside the base as well. The main anti-air buildings are not simply sitting on the outer edge, so Dragons or Balloons generally have to travel through defended territory before removing them. Archer Towers provide extra coverage from several directions.

There are some trade-offs. The layout is quite compact through the center, so if an attacker breaks into that area with enough troops and spells remaining, several valuable buildings could fall quickly. The strong vertical symmetry also makes the base easier to understand after a careful look.

Even with that, this looks like a practical TH8 farming setup. Its real strength comes from separating the storages, slowing troop movement with repeated compartments, and keeping enough defensive fire around the core to make a complete loot sweep expensive. It does not need to win every defense to be effective; it mainly needs to make attackers work for each additional storage.
