TH9 Farming Base number 2 – Diamond Layout and Resource Protection Analysis

This TH9 farming base uses a fairly symmetrical diamond design, but the interesting part is what happens inside that shape. The Town Hall sits deep in the center, while the four Elixir Storages are spread around it instead of being placed together in one compartment. Gold Storages are also divided between different sections. For a farming layout, that separation may be more useful than simply building one heavily protected loot room.

An attacker entering from either side can probably reach one storage without too much trouble. The problem comes afterward. Getting the next one means moving through another wall section and into a different group of defenses. That repeated resistance is likely to be the main reason this base can limit loot losses even when it does not completely stop the attack.

The central area appears particularly uncomfortable for ground troops. The Town Hall is surrounded by valuable buildings, walls, and several defenses with overlapping ranges. The X-Bows are positioned well inside the village too, allowing them to stay active for a good portion of the raid rather than being removed immediately from the edge.

I also like the way the smaller compartments shape troop movement. There are several narrow sections around the core, so breaking the first wall does not open the entire village. Giants may move toward one nearby defense while Wizards, Archers, or other support troops become distracted by buildings on a different side. A slightly poor funnel could turn what looked like a straight push into two smaller groups.

Splash coverage adds another problem. Wizard Towers are positioned around important storage areas, which may punish Goblins or groups of supporting troops once they move beyond the easier outside buildings. Mortars cover wider sections from behind the walls and should be particularly useful when low-health units gather behind tanks.

The Gold Storages and Elixir Storages themselves also play a defensive role. They have enough hit points to slow troops for a while, giving nearby Cannons, Archer Towers, Wizard Towers, and X-Bows extra firing time. It is a small detail, but those few extra seconds can make a noticeable difference during a farming raid.

Air protection appears reasonably spread through the interior as well. The main anti-air defenses are not sitting directly on the perimeter, so an air attacker generally has to push deeper before taking them out. That does not make the base immune to Dragons or Balloons, of course, but it reduces the chance of losing all the important air coverage immediately.

The outer buildings are a mixed choice. They give attackers some easy percentage, but they can also create funneling problems and waste time. A few badly placed troops may spend longer than expected clearing the perimeter instead of entering the diamond.

There is one obvious trade-off: symmetry makes the layout easier to understand once an experienced player studies it. A well-prepared attacker may identify a cleaner route toward the core.

For normal TH9 farming, though, the defensive concept appears solid. The base relies on **split storages, repeated compartments, central defensive fire, splash coverage, and awkward troop movement**. Its goal is not necessarily to prevent every star; it is to make taking all of the resources expensive, slow, and inconvenient.
