Clash of Cards Event Explained: How to Collect, Trade, and Unlock Every Reward
The Clash of Cards event adds a collection-style challenge to Clash of Clans. Instead of completing one long task, players need to collect different character cards across several categories before the event timer runs out.
At first glance, the screen can look a little confusing. There are dozens of greyed-out cards, four separate progress bars, and another reward track running across the bottom. Once you understand how the categories work, though, the event appears fairly straightforward.
The main objective is to collect all 60 unique cards. Every new card contributes to one of four collections, while your total number of collected cards moves you further along the main reward track.
The Four Card Collections
The cards are separated into four groups, and each group has its own completion reward.
The first collection contains 19 Elixir Cards. Completing all 19 reportedly rewards you with an Elixir-themed decoration or collectible.
Next are the Dark Elixir Cards, with 13 cards required to finish the set. Collecting all of them unlocks the corresponding Dark Elixir reward.
The Builder Base collection is smaller, containing 11 cards. Players who complete that section receive a Gold-themed reward.
Finally, there are 17 Super Troop Cards. Finishing this collection appears to reward a troop-related chest.
You do not necessarily have to complete one section before starting another. Cards may arrive in any order, so your progress could be spread across all four categories at the same time. You might have 10 Elixir Cards, only two Builder Base Cards, and several Super Troop Cards depending on your luck.
That random element is likely to make duplicate cards one of the biggest parts of the event.
What Happens When You Get Duplicate Cards?
Receiving the same card more than once does not mean it is completely useless.
According to the event explanation being shared, duplicate cards can be exchanged with other players in your clan. For example, you may need a Barbarian card while one of your clanmates is looking for an Archer card. If both of you have the right duplicates, you can trade and help each other complete the missing parts of your collections.
This system could make active clans especially valuable. A player trying to finish the event alone may have to depend heavily on luck, while a clan with twenty or thirty active collectors can compare duplicates and arrange useful exchanges.
There also appears to be another option when a direct trade is not possible. A clanmate who does not have the card you need may reportedly be able to complete the exchange by paying 50 Gems. That may help during the final days of the event, although spending Gems on every missing card could become expensive quite quickly.
Duplicate cards may also be exchanged through the in-game Trader. The exact value of each trade could vary, so it would probably be sensible to check clan offers first before using Gems or another limited resource.
How the Main Reward Track Works
The bar at the bottom of the event screen is based on the total number of different cards you have collected.
Rewards appear at several milestones, including 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and finally 60 cards. The visible track includes resources and other useful items along the way, so even players who do not complete every collection should still earn something.
The final milestone appears to include a free Minion Prince skin. Reaching it requires completing the full 60-card collection, which is likely to be the hardest part of the event.
Because duplicate cards do not appear to increase the unique-card total, trading will probably become more important as you get closer to completion. The first 30 or 40 cards may arrive naturally, but the last few could take much longer.
The smartest approach may be to start early, keep every duplicate, and communicate with clanmates rather than waiting until the event is nearly over. A card that seems useless today could be exactly what another player needs tomorrow—and their duplicate might finish your own collection.
