TH10 Clan War Base #3: Multi-Compartment Defense Built Around Three-Star Denial

TH10 Clan War Layout #3 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the right side of the main defensive core. Looking at the base itself, the layout appears designed to avoid giving an attacker one obvious route through every important defense. The Town Hall, Inferno Towers, Air Defenses, storages, and supporting towers sit across different sections, so a successful entry into one compartment does not automatically solve the rest.

That makes the Clan War label appropriate. The base seems more interested in breaking the rhythm of a three-star attempt than simply protecting one building.

The Town Hall complicates a direct core push

The Town Hall sits inside the stronger central area but is not perfectly aligned with the most natural entry routes.

That small offset may matter once troops reach the middle. A ground push that appears well organized at first can begin drifting toward nearby defenses instead of staying focused on the Town Hall.

For the defender, that split is valuable. Heroes may continue toward the objective while tanks or support troops move into an adjacent compartment. Once the formation separates, shared spell value drops and the remaining defenses gain more time to work.

The Town Hall therefore acts less like an isolated bunker and more like a pathing decision inside the core.

Multiple compartments create repeated defensive stages

The wall structure is one of Layout #3's stronger features.

Instead of one oversized central compartment, the base divides its important defenses into several smaller sections. Breaking through the first layer still leaves another defensive pocket ahead.

That can quietly create time pressure.

An army does not need to be completely destroyed for the defense to succeed. If troops spend extra seconds crossing walls, retargeting, or clearing the wrong section, the final cleanup becomes much tighter.

In war, those small delays often matter.

Air and Inferno coverage stays separated

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers do not form one neat cluster. The Air Defenses appear to provide staggered coverage around different approach lanes, while the Infernos remain separate high-value threats.

That spacing makes it harder to neutralize too much defensive value at once.

Queen Charge LavaLoon may be able to remove one section, but the air phase still needs to navigate surviving coverage elsewhere. Hog or Miner Hybrid can also pressure the layout if the attacker creates clean pathing through the compartments.

Some compact areas could offer chain value from Electro Dragon-style pressure in mixed-level situations, but native TH10 plans are more likely to rely on LavaLoon, Hybrid-style armies, or other TH10 compositions.

The bottom edge is the main structural concern

The bottom edge looks like the most natural place to establish a funnel.

The bigger weakness appears when that funnel becomes too wide. If several adjacent compartments are opened together, the base may lose its staged defensive structure faster than intended.

There is a tradeoff, though. A wide attack can also split the army. One group may move toward the core while another remains clearing outside buildings, which can create exactly the kind of timing problem the defense wants.

Why Layout #3 fits Clan War

The strongest quality of TH10 Clan War Base #3 is that securing early value does not guarantee a clean finish.

Its offset Town Hall, compartment-heavy structure, separated Infernos, and staggered Air Defense coverage all support an anti-three-star strategy focused on troop separation, defensive persistence, and time pressure.
