TH10 Clan War Base #9: Multi-Compartment Defense with Offset Town Hall Pressure
TH10 Clan War Layout #9 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the right side of the core. Looking at the actual base, the design feels intentionally layered rather than perfectly symmetrical. The Town Hall, Inferno Towers, Air Defenses, storages, and other important buildings sit on different routes, so an attacker cannot simply enter from one side and expect every major target to line up.
That makes the layout a good fit for Clan War. Its defensive purpose appears to be less about stopping the first star at all costs and more about making the full three-star route difficult to organize.
The offset Town Hall complicates a straight core push
The Town Hall sits close to the central defensive area, but slightly toward the right.
That small offset matters. A ground army moving through the middle may have to choose between following nearby defenses and committing directly toward the Town Hall. If the funnel is not tight enough, part of the force can drift into a neighboring compartment.
From the defender’s perspective, that is useful. A split army usually receives less efficient spell support and gives the remaining defenses more time to fire.
Multiple compartments keep the defense alive in stages
The base contains several separate wall sections rather than one oversized central box.
Once the first compartment falls, another defensive layer still remains. This can make the raid feel slower than expected, especially when heroes, tanks, and support troops stop moving together.
The layout does not necessarily need an immediate defensive stop. If one section consumes a Heal, Freeze, hero ability, or simply 20 extra seconds, the later compartments become more valuable.
That staged resistance is one of the clearer anti-three-star features visible here.
Air Defenses and Infernos avoid one easy solution
The Air Defenses form staggered coverage around the core, while the Inferno Towers act as separate high-value targets.
That spacing makes one spell plan less likely to control everything important at once.
Queen Charge LavaLoon may be able to remove one side of the defensive network, but the remaining air route still needs careful planning. Hog or Miner Hybrid can also threaten the layout if pathing is shaped correctly.
Electro Dragon-style chain pressure may find value in some compact pockets, although at TH10 the more realistic native attack plans are usually based around LavaLoon, Hybrid-style compositions, or other TH10 armies.
The top edge is the main pressure point
The top edge looks like the most natural place to establish a funnel.
The bigger weakness appears when that funnel becomes too wide. If troops enter several adjacent compartments at once, the base can lose its layered structure faster than intended.
There is a tradeoff, though. A wide entry can also split the attacking force. One group may remain outside while another heads toward the core, creating exactly the kind of uneven movement the defense wants.
Why Layout #9 works for Clan War
The strongest quality of TH10 Clan War Base #9 is that the funnel, Town Hall route, and cleanup do not naturally become one simple path.
Its offset Town Hall, separated compartments, staggered Air Defenses, and divided Inferno pressure all support three-star prevention through pathing disruption and time pressure.
