TH10 Clan War Base #7: Multi-Compartment Defense Built for Three-Star Denial

TH10 Clan War Layout #7 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the right side of the defensive core. Looking at the actual base, the layout is fairly balanced from left to right, but the inner routes are less straightforward than the overall shape suggests. Important defenses are divided between several compartments, which makes one clean push through every high-value target difficult.

For Clan War, that is useful. This base appears less interested in stopping the first star at any cost and more focused on making the second and third stages of the attack increasingly awkward.

The Town Hall is positioned to disrupt a straight core entry

The Town Hall sits inside the stronger central network, but not perfectly in line with every other valuable defense.

That offset matters because troops entering the core can find attractive targets on several sides. A ground army that looks well organized at the beginning may start separating once the first compartments fall.

From the defensive perspective, that is a good trade. One group can move toward the Town Hall while another gets pulled toward an Inferno, storage, or nearby defense. Once the army stops fighting as one unit, spell coverage becomes less efficient and the remaining defenses gain more time.

Multiple compartments create repeated defensive stages

The wall structure is probably Layout #7’s strongest feature.

Instead of one large central box, the base uses several smaller sections that have to be cleared separately. A successful first entry therefore does not automatically expose the entire village.

This structure also creates time pressure. Troops may survive, but survival alone does not guarantee a triple if they finish scattered across different compartments.

That is especially relevant in war, where a few awkward transitions can turn a comfortable-looking attack into a late cleanup problem.

Air and Inferno coverage is deliberately spread

The anti-air network appears divided across opposite sections, while the Inferno Towers support different routes toward the core.

That spacing helps prevent one spell sequence from neutralizing too much defensive value at once.

Queen Charge LavaLoon may be able to remove one important section, but the remaining air path still needs to deal with coverage elsewhere. Hog or Miner Hybrid is another possible threat, particularly when the attacker creates predictable pathing through the compartments.

Electro Dragons may find chain value in some of the denser pockets, though the broader layout is not compact enough to make every section equally attractive.

The bottom edge is the clearest pressure point

The bottom edge appears to offer the easiest funnel.

The real defensive risk is not simply losing that side. The bigger problem comes when the funnel becomes too wide and the main army begins entering several adjacent compartments together.

That can weaken the staged nature of the defense.

There is a flip side, though: an overly wide attack can also split the army. If one group stays outside while another moves toward the core, the base may gain exactly the kind of pathing disruption it was designed to create.

Why Layout #7 works for Clan War

The strongest quality of TH10 Clan War Base #7 is that securing the main objective does not necessarily leave enough attacking strength for a clean back end.

The offset Town Hall, multi-compartment walls, divided Inferno pressure, and spread anti-air coverage all support an anti-three-star approach based on troop separation, defensive persistence, and time pressure.
