TH15 Farming Base #1: Layered-Square Defense Built to Make Every Storage Cost More

TH15 Farming Layout #1 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the upper side of the core. Looking closely at the base itself, the defensive plan feels quite deliberate: valuable buildings are protected behind several separate wall layers rather than being concentrated in one pocket that could collapse all at once.

This matters for farming. The layout does not need to save every storage during every raid. Its real value comes from making each additional resource building harder and slower to reach than the one before it.

The Town Hall supports a deeper resource network

The Town Hall sits inside the central defensive structure, surrounded by several compartments containing storages and high-damage defenses.

What I like about this arrangement is that the Town Hall is important without becoming the entire purpose of the base. Even if one section around it is lost, other resource pockets can remain protected behind their own walls and defensive coverage.

That gives Layout #1 a kind of defensive insurance.

One breach should expose one part of the loot—not everything.

Layered walls create repeated defensive stops

The square-within-square wall pattern is probably the strongest feature visible in this layout.

Instead of relying on one thick outer wall, the base creates several defensive layers between the perimeter and the deepest storages. Troops that finish one compartment still need to redirect and work through another section.

Those transitions may look minor, but they can become expensive over the course of a raid.

High-hitpoint storages slow progress further. While troops spend time destroying one, Infernos, X-Bows, Scattershots, and nearby defenses can continue dealing damage.

For a farming defense, that extra time is valuable because it gives the remaining storage pockets a better chance of surviving.

Infernos and Air Defenses are difficult to control together

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are deliberately spread rather than placed in one tidy group.

That spacing helps preserve defensive pressure across different parts of the village. Controlling one threat does not automatically shut down another section of the resource core.

Against Dragons or LavaLoon, this means one area can remain protected even after another air-defense lane starts to fail. Heavy ground armies such as Root Riders create a different challenge, but the layered walls can still separate support troops and heroes from the main formation.

The base is relying on continued pressure from several zones, not one oversized defensive cluster.

The left edge is the main structural concern

The left edge appears to be the most accessible side, which makes it the part of the village carrying the most defensive responsibility.

The main danger is a clean corner funnel that turns the layered structure into a straighter route through two wall lines. If that happens too cheaply, the defense loses some of the travel time it was designed to create.

Ideally, this section should force some kind of cost before the inner resource pockets are threatened—extra time, hero health, troop losses, abilities, or spell value.

It does not need an immediate stop. Making the deeper loot harder to reach is enough.

Why Layout #1 works for Farming

The strength of TH15 Farming Base #1 comes from making resource collection progressively more expensive.

Its slightly offset Town Hall, separated storage pockets, layered-square walls, distributed Infernos, and staggered Air Defense coverage all support the same idea: the first storage may be obtainable, but the next one should require another commitment.
