TH15 Farming Base #4: Multi-Compartment Loot Defense with Layered Storage Protection
TH15 Farming Layout #4 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall sitting near the center behind the main storage line. After studying the actual base, the defensive idea seems pretty practical: valuable resources are divided across several pockets, while the strongest defenses are positioned so that one successful breach does not automatically open the entire village.
For farming, that is more useful than simply surrounding the Town Hall with everything. The layout appears willing to lose a storage or two if the remaining loot stays protected long enough to make a full sweep difficult.
Storages act as part of the defensive core
The central area is crowded with Gold and Elixir Storages, high-damage defenses, and multiple wall layers.
That placement gives the storages a second job beyond holding resources. Their high hit points can slow troops inside zones where Infernos, X-Bows, Scattershots, and other defenses are still firing.
More importantly, the loot is not sitting in one neat group. Different storages belong to different sections of the core.
So if one compartment is broken, the defense still has something valuable left to protect elsewhere.
The compartment layout is built to slow progression
The walls divide Layout #4 into several medium-sized sections instead of one huge open center.
Defensively, this should create repeated pauses in troop movement. A group that finishes one pocket may need to change direction before reaching the next storage, while another group becomes distracted by a nearby defense.
That kind of split can help the base.
A concentrated army clears quickly. A divided army spends longer moving between targets and gets less value from shared spells. Even when plenty of troops survive, they may no longer be clearing resource pockets in an efficient order.
For a farming layout, those extra seconds are valuable.
Air and Inferno coverage stays active across different zones
The Air Defenses form staggered coverage around the core, while the Inferno Towers act as separate high-value defensive anchors.
This is an important detail because the base does not offer one obvious cluster that can be controlled all at once.
If one air-defense section falls, another part of the village can continue protecting a different storage pocket. The same applies to the Infernos: removing pressure from one lane does not automatically silence the rest of the core.
Against Dragons or LavaLoon, this distributed coverage is meant to keep the air army under pressure in stages. Root Rider or heavy ground armies are handled more through compartment separation and pathing disruption than walls alone.
The top edge carries the biggest defensive responsibility
The top edge appears to be the easiest outer section to pressure, so this is the area that needs to make early progress expensive.
The defense does not necessarily need an immediate stop. If the top side can consume time, hero health, troop strength, or abilities before the storage-heavy center is threatened, it has already done useful work.
The main weakness is when the attacking formation becomes too wide and several neighboring compartments come under pressure at once.
Still, there is a tradeoff. A wide army is also more likely to split, and that can slow the rate at which the deeper storages fall.
Why Layout #4 works for Farming
The strongest feature of TH15 Farming Base #4 is its layered resource protection.
The central Town Hall, separated storage pockets, compartment-heavy walls, staggered Air Defenses, and divided Inferno coverage all support the same defensive goal: make each additional storage require another commitment rather than allowing one clean push to collect everything.
