TH15 Farming Base #9: Layered-Square Defense Built to Make Every Storage Cost More
TH15 Farming Layout #9 uses a layered-square structure with the Town Hall slightly above the true center of the village. After looking closely at the base itself, the farming logic is easy to appreciate: the important resources are protected in stages rather than sitting along one convenient route.
The layout is fairly compact, but it does not feel cramped. Gold and Elixir Storages sit in different defensive pockets, while the Town Hall, Inferno Towers, X-Bows, and other high-value defenses occupy separate sections around the middle. That means losing one compartment should not immediately expose every valuable target behind it.
For a farming base, that is the point.
The layered square creates repeated defensive barriers
The wall structure is probably the most distinctive part of Layout #9.
Instead of one giant outer wall surrounding a packed core, the village uses several square and rectangular layers. Troops that finish one section still have another wall line and another group of defenses waiting ahead.
That repeated resistance helps preserve loot.
A raid may reach the first storage without too much trouble, but getting the second or third storage requires more travel and more time under fire. The design appears willing to sacrifice some resources if doing so makes the rest considerably more expensive to collect.
Storage placement supports the whole defensive network
The storages are distributed around the inner sections rather than grouped together.
That gives them two jobs. They protect resources, obviously, but their high hit points also slow troops while nearby defenses continue firing.
This can become especially useful when an attacking army begins to spread. One group might be stuck working through a storage while another enters the neighboring compartment. Once the formation stretches, the defense gains time without needing one overwhelming damage zone.
In a farming layout, those few extra seconds can be the difference between losing one storage and losing nearly everything.
Air and Inferno pressure comes from different directions
The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are noticeably separated.
That is a good defensive detail because it avoids presenting one obvious cluster for a single control spell. Different sections of the village keep their own defensive pressure.
Against Dragons or LavaLoon, one side may begin collapsing while another air-defense zone remains active around a separate resource pocket. Root Rider-style ground armies face a similar problem in another form: the front line can move quickly, but supporting heroes and troops may become divided by the layered compartments.
The layout is relying on spacing and sustained pressure, not just raw defensive damage.
The left edge carries the biggest defensive risk
The left edge appears to be the most manageable side of the structure, making it the main area the defense needs to protect carefully.
The real danger is not simply losing a few outside buildings. A disciplined corner funnel could potentially create a straighter line through two wall layers, reducing the travel time that makes this base effective.
For that reason, this side needs to make early progress costly through defensive overlap, hidden traps, hero pressure, or simply enough delay to protect the deeper storages.
Why Layout #9 works for Farming
The strongest quality of TH15 Farming Base #9 is that each additional storage appears to require a new commitment.
Its layered walls, separated loot pockets, staggered Air Defenses, and divided Inferno coverage all work toward the same defensive goal: make total resource collection much harder than taking the first few valuable buildings.
