TH15 Farming Base #2: Multi-Compartment Defense Built to Break Up Loot Raids

TH15 Farming Layout #2 uses a multi-compartment design with the Town Hall sitting slightly toward the upper side of the core. What stands out in the actual layout is how unevenly the valuable buildings are distributed. The Town Hall, major storages, Inferno Towers, and other high-damage defenses are close enough to support each other, but they are not packed into one section that can collapse all at once.

That gives the base a fairly practical farming strategy. It accepts that a determined raider may steal something. The defensive aim appears to be stopping that first successful breakthrough from turning into a near-total loot sweep.

Separate loot pockets reduce the damage from one breach

The Gold and Elixir Storages are placed through different inner compartments instead of following one simple path across the village.

That is probably the most important feature for resource protection.

If troops break into one side, they may reach a storage and still find another valuable pocket separated by walls and active defenses. In effect, each storage becomes another stage of the raid.

The storages themselves also help defensively. Their high hit points can hold troops in place while Infernos, X-Bows, Scattershots, and other nearby defenses continue firing.

So even when a storage eventually falls, it may have already bought useful time for the rest of the base.

The core is designed to make armies lose shape

The wall pattern creates several adjoining sections around the center rather than one large open compartment.

That seems intended to interfere with troop concentration.

A wide attacking formation can begin splitting between neighboring targets. One group may follow a storage, another may move toward a defense, while heroes take a slightly different route through the core.

From the defender's point of view, that is valuable. A compact army can share spells and overwhelm one zone quickly. Once that same army is stretched across two or three compartments, its damage becomes much less coordinated.

This is likely where Layout #2 gets a lot of its defensive value against heavy ground armies.

Air and Inferno pressure comes from different sections

The Air Defenses and Inferno Towers are deliberately separated rather than forming one convenient high-value cluster.

That means one spell or one successful defensive takedown should not remove all of the pressure around the loot core.

Against Dragons or LavaLoon, one side can begin falling while another air-defense lane remains active. Root Rider-style armies face a different version of the same problem: they can cross walls quickly, but their supporting heroes and troops may not stay together once several compartments open.

Queen Charge Hybrid can also threaten this type of farming base, yet clearing one pocket still leaves additional resource sections elsewhere.

The bottom edge is the main defensive pressure point

The bottom edge looks like the most accessible side of Layout #2.

For the defense, this area does not need to produce an instant stop. Its job is to make early progress expensive enough that the inner loot pockets have time to work.

Losing the bottom section too quickly could expose several routes toward the middle. On the other hand, a very wide push may actually play into the layout's hands by splitting troops between adjacent compartments.

That tradeoff is important: the base wants the attacking army moving inward, but not as one perfectly organized group.

Why Layout #2 works for Farming

The defensive identity of TH15 Farming Base #2 comes from protecting resources through separation rather than relying on one central objective.

Its slightly offset Town Hall, distributed storages, compartment-heavy core, separated Infernos, and staggered air coverage all support the same idea: make every additional pocket of loot require more time and another commitment.
