TH15 Farming Base #12: Multi-Compartment Defense Built to Preserve Loot in Stages

TH15 Farming Layout #12 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall slightly offset toward the lower side of the core. Looking closely at the actual layout, its defensive strategy is less about creating one impenetrable center and more about forcing a raider to work through several valuable sections separately.

That approach makes sense for farming. The base may lose one storage pocket during a strong raid, but the remaining loot is positioned so that it still requires another commitment. In other words, the layout is trying to limit how much value can be collected from a single successful breakthrough.

Resource pockets create several layers of defense

The storages are distributed through different sections around the middle instead of being packed together in one obvious loot zone.

That separation is probably the most important farming feature here.

If one compartment collapses, the remaining Gold and Elixir Storages are not automatically exposed. Troops still need to change direction, cross another wall line, and survive fresh defensive pressure before reaching the next valuable area.

The slightly lower Town Hall placement adds another layer. It remains protected within the storage-heavy defensive network without becoming the only meaningful target in the village.

The compartment layout is designed to waste time

Layout #12 contains several medium-sized compartments connected around the core.

Those walls are doing more than simply slowing ground troops. They appear designed to create awkward movement between storage pockets.

If an attacking army becomes too wide, one group may move into the lower compartments while another drifts toward a neighboring defense or storage. That split can actually help the farming defense.

A divided army takes longer to clear buildings, receives less efficient spell support, and gives the remaining defenses additional time to preserve untouched resources.

This time pressure becomes more valuable as the raid progresses.

Air and Inferno coverage protects different routes

The anti-air network is spread across opposite parts of the layout, while the Inferno Towers support separate lanes into the core.

That spacing is a smart defensive detail because it avoids presenting one clean cluster of high-value defenses.

A single Freeze, Overgrowth, or similar spell is less likely to neutralize everything important at once. Against Dragons or LavaLoon, one storage section may remain under active defensive coverage even after another side begins to fall.

Heavy ground armies such as Root Riders face a slightly different problem. They may cross walls quickly, but the surrounding compartment structure can still separate heroes and support troops from the main force.

The bottom edge carries the most defensive responsibility

The bottom edge appears to be the most accessible side of the village, so this section has an important job.

It does not necessarily need to stop the raid outright. Its real purpose is to make the opening expensive enough—through time, hero health, abilities, or troop losses—that the deeper resource compartments become harder to finish.

If the bottom section falls too cheaply, too much attacking strength may survive for the storage-heavy center.

On the other hand, an overly wide push can work in Layout #12’s favor by splitting troops between adjacent compartments.

Why Layout #12 works for Farming

The strength of TH15 Farming Base #12 comes from making loot collection happen in stages.

Its separated storages, layered walls, slightly offset Town Hall, divided Inferno pressure, and spread anti-air coverage all support the same defensive goal: protect the remaining resources even after one part of the base has already been breached.
