TH15 Farming Base #16: Multi-Compartment Defense Built Around Loot Separation

TH15 Farming Layout #16 uses a dense multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall slightly shifted toward the upper side of the core. Looking closely at the actual base, the defensive plan seems centered on one practical farming idea: valuable buildings should not all fall during the same part of the raid.

The Town Hall, Gold Storages, Elixir Storages, Inferno Towers, and other important defenses are divided between several inner pockets. That gives the village depth. A raider may break one compartment and collect useful loot, but the remaining resource sections still require additional movement and commitment.

The storage pockets protect each other indirectly

The storages are not arranged as one convenient central pile.

Instead, high-value resource buildings sit in different sections around the core, with walls and defenses separating them. For farming defense, this is probably more useful than concentrating everything around the Town Hall.

If one storage pocket collapses, another can remain protected behind a different wall line. The attacker has to keep moving deeper or sideways through the village to continue collecting resources.

That extra travel is part of the defense.

A compact core creates repeated resistance

Layout #16 has several small and medium-sized compartments packed around its central defensive area.

Rather than expecting one wall layer to stop an army completely, the design appears to use repeated interruptions. Troops clear one section, change direction, engage another defense, then have to move again before reaching the next valuable target.

These little delays add up.

They can also create troop separation. One group may move toward a storage while another gets pulled toward an Inferno, X-Bow, or nearby defense. Once the formation spreads, the defense gains more time to protect whatever remains deeper inside.

Infernos and Air Defenses avoid one obvious target zone

Another useful detail is the spacing between the Inferno Towers and Air Defenses.

They are not sitting in one tidy cluster where a single Freeze, Overgrowth, or similar spell can reduce most of the defensive pressure at once. Instead, different parts of the core are covered by separate threats.

That should help against Dragons and LavaLoon because losing one air-defense section does not necessarily make the next storage pocket safe.

Heavy ground armies such as Root Riders face a different version of the same problem. They may cross walls quickly, but heroes and support troops can still drift into neighboring compartments.

The bottom edge is the main defensive concern

The bottom edge appears to be the easiest side to pressure.

For the defense, that means the lower compartments need to consume something valuable before the central loot pockets are exposed—time, hero health, abilities, spells, or troop strength.

There is also an interesting weakness here. If an attacking formation becomes too wide, the army can split between adjacent sections. Normally that sounds helpful for the defender, and often it is. But if both groups remain strong enough, several storage pockets can be pressured at the same time.

So Layout #16 depends on those compartments doing enough damage while the split is happening.

Why Layout #16 works as a Farming defense

The real strength of TH15 Farming Base #16 is resource separation.

Its Town Hall sits inside layered protection, storages are divided across different compartments, and the defensive network forces troops to spend time travelling between valuable targets. Infernos and Air Defenses also remain separated enough to keep pressure active through several stages of the raid.
