TH15 Farming Base #22: Multi-Compartment Defense Built to Protect Loot in Layers
TH15 Farming Layout #22 uses a multi-compartment structure with the Town Hall positioned near the center, behind several important storage and defensive pockets. Looking at the layout itself, the farming strategy is fairly clear: instead of putting all the valuable resources in one place, the base spreads them across multiple sections so that losing one compartment does not expose everything else.
That is probably its biggest strength as a farming layout. A raider may get part of the loot, but collecting the rest requires more walls, more travel, and more time under defensive fire.
The storages form multiple layers of protection
The Gold and Elixir Storages are distributed around the core rather than grouped into one easy cluster.
From a defensive point of view, this is important. Each storage pocket creates another decision for attacking troops. Even after one section is cleared, several high-value targets remain behind separate wall layers.
The Town Hall sits close enough to the central storage line to benefit from the same defensive network, while still leaving other resource pockets active if the core is breached.
In practical terms, the base is trying to avoid the worst farming outcome: one successful push collecting nearly every valuable resource at once.
The multi-compartment core slows progression
The walls divide Layout #22 into several medium-sized sections instead of one oversized central box.
That structure does more than delay troops. It can also stretch the attacking formation.
If troops begin spreading between neighboring compartments, the defense gets extra time. One group may work on a storage while another moves toward a defense, leaving neither group as strong as the original army.
This is especially relevant against Root Rider or other heavy ground armies. Walls alone may not stop them, but the layout can still make their supporting heroes and troops take different routes.
Air defenses protect different storage lanes
The anti-air network also appears deliberately staggered.
Air Defenses cover different sections around the middle, while the Inferno Towers act as separate high-value anchors rather than sitting together in one compact zone. This means one Freeze, Overgrowth, or similar control spell is unlikely to shut down the entire defensive network.
Against Dragons or LavaLoon, that distributed pressure may help keep at least one section of the resource base protected even if another side begins to fall.
The same principle works against Queen Charge Hybrid: clearing one compartment does not automatically expose every storage behind it.
The top edge is the main defensive concern
The top edge appears to be the most accessible part of the structure, so this side carries extra responsibility defensively.
If that section falls too cheaply, the attacker may preserve too much strength for the central storage pockets. Ideally, defenses and hidden traps around this area should consume time, hero health, or abilities before the deeper compartments are reached.
Interestingly, a funnel that becomes too wide can also help the defense. Troops may split between adjacent sections instead of staying concentrated, creating exactly the kind of time pressure this layout wants.
Why Layout #22 works for Farming
The real farming value of TH15 Farming Base #22 comes from forcing raiders to move from one storage pocket to another instead of collecting everything through a single opening.
Its central Town Hall, separated storages, staggered Air Defenses, divided Inferno coverage, and multiple wall layers all support the same defensive goal: protect as much remaining loot as possible even after part of the village has been breached.
