TH15 Farming Base #23: Multi-Compartment Defense Built to Protect Loot in Layers
TH15 Farming Layout #23 uses a multi-compartment defensive structure with the Town Hall slightly shifted toward the lower side of the core. After studying the actual base, its purpose looks different from a typical war layout. The priority here is not simply denying three stars. It is making sure an attacker cannot collect the most valuable resources through one easy push.
The storages are distributed across different sections of the village, while the Town Hall and high-damage defenses sit deeper inside. That separation creates several layers of protection. An attacker may successfully break into one section and steal some loot, but a large part of the remaining resources can still stay protected elsewhere.
Loot is deliberately spread across the base
The strongest farming feature is the storage distribution.
Elixir and Gold Storages are not packed into one central compartment where a single strong army could reach everything at once. Instead, they appear across different sections of the defensive structure, forcing troops to move through several layers if they want maximum loot.
From the defender's perspective, that is exactly the point.
Losing one storage is acceptable if the rest of the resources remain behind active defenses. This makes the base more resistant to raids focused purely on quick resource collection.
The core creates several defensive stages
Rather than one oversized center, Layout #23 contains multiple connected compartments.
That structure can slow troop movement and, more importantly, break attacking formations apart. A ground army moving through one compartment may start splitting toward different storages or defenses once several targets become available.
The defense benefits from that separation.
Root Riders and other heavy troops may pass through walls fairly efficiently, but heroes and support units can still drift into neighboring sections. Once the army spreads, Infernos, X-Bows, and other defenses get more time to apply damage.
Air pressure is spread across different lanes
The anti-air network is also distributed rather than concentrated in one corner.
Air Defenses cover different sections, while the Inferno Towers appear positioned to support separate routes into the center. That makes the layout harder to overwhelm with one simple spell sequence.
Against Dragons or LavaLoon, clearing one side does not necessarily remove the air threat elsewhere. The remaining storages may still sit behind another active defensive zone, which is especially useful for a farming base.
The top edge is the main defensive concern
The top edge appears to be the most accessible part of Layout #23.
Defensively, the goal here is not necessarily to prevent any loot from being taken. Instead, that side needs to slow the raid enough that the deeper storages remain protected.
The main weakness appears when the defensive shape allows an attacking force to maintain too much control through the first compartments. If the funnel becomes very wide, however, troops may also split between adjacent sections—which can actually help the defense by reducing the strength reaching the center.
Why Layout #23 works for Farming
The farming value of this base comes from making full loot collection require several separate commitments.
A raider may take some resources from the top side, but the rest of the storages are positioned deeper and across different compartments. That means one successful entry does not automatically expose everything.
