TH6 Clan War Base number 1 – Central Core and Layered Defense Analysis

This TH6 Clan War base takes a fairly straightforward shape, but there is some thought behind how the important buildings are arranged. The Town Hall sits close to the middle rather than being pushed against an outer wall, and the surrounding defenses are spread across different sections of the layout. An attacker can get inside, certainly, but moving through the whole base in one smooth push may be harder than the compact shape suggests.

The central Town Hall placement is a good starting point for war defense. It forces ground troops to travel through defensive fire before reaching the main objective. The two Elixir Storages just above the Town Hall also create a useful layer of high-hitpoint buildings. In Clan War, the resources inside them do not matter, so their real job here is simply to waste attacking time.

And they can waste quite a bit of it.

A group of Giants moving through the upper side may stop on nearby defenses while Wizards or Archers behind them begin clearing the storages. If the attacker has not created a clean funnel, the tanks and support troops could gradually separate. At TH6, where armies have fewer tools available to correct bad pathing, that small mistake may become difficult to recover from.

The wall design also helps. Rather than putting every defense inside one giant compartment, the base uses an inner section around the Town Hall and a wider defensive layer outside it. Breaking the first wall does not automatically expose every important building. Ground troops may need to turn around a wall corner or make another breach before moving into the next part of the village.

Splash damage looks especially important in this layout. The Wizard Towers and Mortars are positioned where they can punish grouped troops as they approach the core. That could be troublesome for Giant-and-Wizard attacks. While Giants are occupied with defensive buildings, Wizards standing behind them may stay close enough together to take repeated splash hits.

The base also avoids putting all of its defensive strength on one side. Cannons and Archer Towers cover different approaches, so choosing the easiest-looking entry does not necessarily remove all of the pressure. Air-targeting defenses are also kept inside the main structure rather than handed over immediately at the edge, which should make Balloon attacks work for their path through the village.

There are a few weaknesses. The layout is fairly symmetrical and easy to understand after some study. The two Elixir Storages are also relatively close together, so a successful upper-side push could gain good value. Once a strong army reaches the central section with enough troops alive, several important buildings become reachable fairly quickly.

Even so, this is a sensible TH6 Clan War layout. Its defensive quality comes from central Town Hall protection, storage-based delays, layered walls, distributed defensive fire, and pathing that can separate Giants from their support troops. It may not stop every well-planned attack, but rushed deployment and poor funneling are likely to be punished.
