TH6 Clan War Base number 3 – Compartment Control and Core Defense Analysis

This TH6 Clan War base is fairly small, but it uses the available wall space in a smart way. Instead of building one big box around the Town Hall, the layout divides the village into several compact compartments. That matters at TH6 because attackers have fewer tools for opening walls and correcting bad troop pathing once the attack has started.

The Town Hall sits inside the central defensive structure, with another layer of buildings and defenses around it. So even if the attacker gets through the outside wall quickly, the Town Hall is not immediately available. Troops still have to work through the surrounding compartments, and that gives the defenses more time to deal damage.

What I find interesting is the left-to-right balance of the base. The two Elixir Storages sit in separate compartments, one on each side, while other high-hitpoint buildings are spread around the lower part of the layout. Since this is a Clan War base, the resources themselves are not the priority. The storages are useful because they take time to destroy.

That delay can be surprisingly valuable.

Imagine a Giant-and-Wizard attack entering from the left. The Giants may lock onto the nearest defense, while the Wizards behind them stop to clear a storage or another building. If the funnel was not prepared properly, the tanks can move deeper while the support troops are left behind. At TH6, that kind of split is often difficult to recover from.

The wall design seems intended to encourage exactly that problem. One successful Wall Breaker entry does not open the whole village. There are additional sections inside, so ground troops may need to turn, break another wall, or walk around a compartment before reaching the next important target.

Splash damage should benefit from these delays as well. Mortars can pressure larger groups from range, while Wizard Towers become especially dangerous when Archers, Barbarians, or Wizards gather behind Giants. If the support troops bunch up near one of the inner storage areas, a few splash hits may remove much of the attack's damage before the Town Hall is reached.

Air coverage also appears to be kept away from the easiest perimeter access. That is useful against Balloon-heavy attacks, since the attacker cannot simply remove every important anti-air defense immediately after deployment. Archer Towers can keep contributing damage as air troops move toward the interior.

The layout is not without weaknesses. It is fairly symmetrical, so an experienced attacker may understand the general structure quickly. The center is also compact. If a strong army reaches that area with most of its troops still alive, several important buildings can fall in a short period.

Still, the defensive concept fits TH6 Clan War well. The base relies on multiple compartments, protected central objectives, high-hitpoint delays, splash coverage, and troop pathing that can separate tanks from support units. It is not trying to make entry impossible; it is trying to make every mistake inside the base more expensive, which is often what turns an apparently easy TH6 attack into an incomplete three-star.
