TH7 Farming Base number 4 – Layered Resource Protection and Pathing Analysis

This TH7 farming base has a slightly unusual shape. Instead of using one wide square around the Town Hall, it stretches the village vertically and divides the important buildings between several connected compartments. That may not look especially complicated at first, but it gives ground troops quite a few chances to wander away from the route the attacker originally planned.

The Town Hall sits near the middle of the layout, with the main resource buildings positioned around it rather than pushed toward the outer edge. The two Elixir Storages are kept close to the central defensive area, while the Gold Storages are split between different sections. So getting into one compartment does not immediately expose every valuable building.

For a farming base, that is the part that matters most.

I would expect the wall structure to cause some awkward movement during Giant-based raids. A group entering from the bottom may initially head toward the defenses in that lower compartment before moving farther inside. Wizards or Goblins following behind could stop on other buildings, creating distance between the tanks and the troops doing most of the damage.

The upper section can create a similar problem from the opposite direction. It contains its own defensive pocket rather than giving attackers a straight line into the Town Hall. Troops that move through there may need another wall break before reaching the central resource area.

Storages also help more than they sometimes get credit for. Gold and Elixir Storages have high hit points, so they can keep troops occupied while surrounding defenses continue firing. A few extra seconds beside a storage can be costly when Mortars, Archer Towers, Cannons, or Wizard Towers are still active.

Splash damage appears reasonably positioned around the interior. That should be useful against cheaper farming armies using large groups of Archers, Barbarians, Goblins, or Wizards. Those troops may collect exposed buildings without much trouble, but once they gather around an inner storage, splash damage can start removing them quickly.

Air protection also seems to be kept within the main defensive structure. That is useful at TH7 because Dragons are always something worth considering. An air attacker generally has to move deeper into the layout before removing the important anti-air defenses, while Archer Towers continue contributing damage from different sides.

There are weaknesses. The base is quite symmetrical, which makes it easier to read after a careful look. The two Elixir Storages are also relatively close to each other, so a strong push through the middle could potentially reach both during the same phase of the attack. Some outside buildings offer easy percentage as well.

Still, the farming strategy here is sensible. The base appears designed to protect the resource core with repeated wall sections, slow troops with high-hitpoint buildings, and create enough pathing disruption that a quick raid may collect part of the loot without comfortably taking everything. For everyday TH7 farming, that is a practical defensive trade-off.
