TH7 Farming Base number 8 – Compact Core and Layered Resource Defense
This TH7 farming base is built around a fairly tight central core, with most of the important resources sitting behind more than one wall section. It looks simple at first—almost like a square wrapped around a diamond—but the internal walls create enough separation that breaking through the outside does not immediately expose everything.
The Town Hall sits close to the middle of the village. That gives it decent protection from quick edge attacks, but this layout clearly is not focused only on saving the Town Hall. Gold and Elixir Storages are kept around the central area as well, which makes an attacker commit troops deeper into the base if the goal is to take the worthwhile loot.
One thing I noticed is that the two Elixir Storages are fairly close together on the left side. That is a slight weakness. A successful push through that section could potentially reach both without crossing the entire village. On the other hand, they are still behind walls and surrounded by active defenses, so grabbing them with a cheap Goblin rush is unlikely to be completely free.
The wall structure is probably more important than the storage positioning itself. There is a large outer defensive shell and another tighter layer around the Town Hall. Giants may break into one section and then turn toward a nearby Cannon or Archer Tower instead of continuing directly into the center. Support troops behind them can choose completely different targets.
That is where farming attacks can start to get messy.
Wizard Towers and Mortars appear positioned so they can cover the more valuable interior areas. Against Barbarians, Archers, Goblins, or Wizards grouped behind Giants, that splash damage may become a real problem. A storage also takes a while to destroy, giving those defenses extra seconds to keep firing while troops are standing in roughly the same place.
The base keeps several defenses and low-value buildings around the outer edges too. Those structures can be taken relatively easily, so an attacker should have no trouble collecting some early percentage. Still, they serve another purpose: funnel disruption. Troops dropped too widely may start walking around the base rather than entering the compartment the attacker intended.
Air defense looks reasonably protected for TH7. The main anti-air coverage is kept within the wall structure rather than completely exposed outside. That matters because Dragons are a common threat at this level. An air attacker will generally need to move through other buildings before removing the important anti-air defenses, while Archer Towers continue contributing damage.
The compact design does come with a trade-off. If a strong army successfully reaches the middle with most of its troops still healthy, several important targets are close enough together to fall quickly. The resource concentration on the left also gives attackers a possible side to prioritize.
Even so, the farming strategy here makes sense. The layout uses layered walls, central resource protection, high-hitpoint storage delays, splash coverage, and potentially awkward troop pathing to make full-loot raids more expensive. It may not stop every attacker, but it appears well suited to protecting at least part of the village's resources when a quick farming raid goes wrong.
