This Builder Hall 9 layout number 01 does not try to hide the Builder Hall in the exact center. Instead, it places it toward the upper-left portion of the base and uses several connected compartments to make the approach less straightforward. I think that is the more interesting part of the design. The Hall is visible fairly early, yet getting troops onto it without losing control of the rest of the attack may be harder than it looks.
The walls divide the base into a series of small, offset compartments. There is no simple straight route through the entire layout. Ground troops can break into one section, destroy a target, and then turn sideways toward a closer defense rather than continuing toward the Builder Hall. Power P.E.K.K.A.s and the Battle Machine, in particular, may become separated if the attacker has not prepared the funnel properly.
The Giant Cannon on the left side adds useful pressure around one of the more tempting approaches. Because it is positioned away from the deepest part of the core, an attacker who focuses entirely on the Builder Hall may leave it active for longer than expected. Against grouped ground troops, that can quickly become uncomfortable.
Much of the heavier defensive work happens in the middle. The Multi Mortar and other central defenses are surrounded by walls and nearby defensive buildings, creating an area where several sources of damage can overlap. Troops that reach this section are not simply fighting one defense at a time. They may be dealing with splash damage, direct fire, and target changes almost simultaneously.
I also like the way the Builder Hall and central defenses are separated. Destroying the Hall does not automatically remove the strongest part of the base. An attacker could secure that objective and still have a fairly dense group of defenses to work through afterward. From a defensive perspective, that is useful for limiting overall destruction and making the remaining cleanup more expensive.
There are a few exterior buildings as well. They look like easy percentage, but they can be surprisingly useful for pathing. If troops are deployed too widely, some may stay outside clearing those structures while the main force enters the compartments. A strong army can suddenly become two weaker groups.
The layout does have a trade-off. The Builder Hall is closer to the edge than it would be in a fully centralized design. A patient attacker who clears the correct outside buildings and creates a disciplined funnel may be able to reach it relatively early. Once the central path is understood, the compact defensive area can also give a surviving army several valuable targets within a short distance.
Overall, this BH9 base appears designed around pathing disruption, compartment control, overlapping central fire, and keeping important defenses active even after the Builder Hall is threatened. It should be particularly effective against rushed ground attacks where troops are deployed from one side without much funnel preparation. Actual performance will still depend on defense levels, trap settings, troop upgrades, and the attacker’s execution.
